“He’s much better behaved than my two, isn't he?!” Cheryl smiled as they walked down the street, hand in hand with Tre who was holding Jake’s lead with his other. The huge Golden Retriever trotted merrily by Tre’s side, his tongue lolling out due to how hot it was.
“A freaking hyena with rabies would be better behaved than your two nutters!” he joked back, making her giggle and playfully nudge into him.
“Haha...true to be fair...I love that they’re naughty anyway...it’s called attitude!” she smugly remarked as they turned the corner and made their way towards the local park.
“Tut...attitude...wonder where they learnt that from!” he tutted as she gasped, pretending to be shocked that he would suggest such a thing. “Naw...I love your little attitude problem...its feisty!” he smirked as she began laughing.
“Oi! I don’t have an attitude problem...you’re just overly sensitive!” she mocked as Tre stuck his bottom lip out as if to start crying. “Haha...see, cry baby!” she joked in a silly voice, pinching his cheek before he began giggling and leaned down to kiss her lips.
“That’s where my Grandma lives” he suddenly pointed to a white, one story house on the other side of the road. “Haha...look there she is in the garden...she’s got her reading crew with her!...Yo Gran!” he shouted over at her as she was sat around the garden table with 4 other ladies.
Cheryl laughed as Denise began waving like crazy over at them whilst she also waved back, a beaming grin on her face. “I hope y’all are behaving ya’selves...I know what you crazy lot are like!” Tre jokingly yelled across the street as the 5 women all began giggling hysterically at him.
“Cheryl, give that cheeky grandson of mine a slap please!” Denise called back making Cheryl laugh as she playfully whacked Tre on the chest.
“Right, we’re going! Stop being a bad influence on my lovely girl please!” he shouted as they all began waving again, still chuckling away.
“I love how you are with your Grandma...it’s so sweet!” Cheryl groaned, interlocking her fingers in between his again as they continued down the path.
“Haha...she’s a funnion!” he laughed, as Jake started pulling on the lead when the park came into view at the end of the street. “You’ll meet all my aunts tomorrow...you won’t know what’s hit ya, honestly...they talk nine to the dozen!”
“Well your mom and your Grandma have been lovely, so I’m sure I’ll be fine” she smiled as they walked through the park gates, her eyes lighting up at how lovely it looked.
“Hey, you've already passed the biggest test!...my mom is nice to everyone, but my grandma’s the one you really need to impress cos she would tell you if she didn't like ya, believe me! She’s like the matriarch of the family!” Tre chuckled as Cheryl looked up at him, biting her lip.
“Do you think she did then?” she asked nervously.
“Haha...she loved ya, she was chatting away about you when I took her home. She’s fascinated by your eyes just to warn you...expect lots more compliments from her about them!” he replied, making her smile happily.
“Aww...haha...I went so red when she started saying I was pretty didn't I?!” she shook her head embarrassingly.
“Yeah, you looked like a little gnome with rosy cheeks!” he joked as she began giggling, watching as Jake began sniffing around once Tre let him off his lead. “It’s your own fault for being so God damn beautiful though isn't it?!” he joked, kissing her deeply on the lips as she smiled against him.
“Get lost ya mug!” she playfully pushed him, screaming as he lifted her up high into the air. Tre laughed uncontrollably as he held her above him before slowly bringing her down and kissing her again, still holding her up slightly so that her feet were a few inches off the floor.
