I wont give up

Its been 4 days since everything happened. Gene broke his arm and had a huge piece of glass in his leg... must've hurt like a bitch to take out! Courtney seems shaken up about everything and really hasn't been talking to anyone. Tina has been in Aman's room every second of the day, crying and praying that he wakes up soon. Aisha seems mad at herself about something. I just cant place my finger on it, I can't figure out why she is so mad at herself. She's in with Aman right now alone, then I will have my turn. I will sit with Aman alone. It hurts me too see him so bruised and beaten. The wound in his shoulder has stopped bleeding and the cuts on his face are healing quickly.
"Priya?" Aisha's voice breaks my thoughts and I'm brought back to real life. I look up at her and she smiles weakly at me.
"It's your turn" she confirms as I stand up.
"Thanks." I mumbled as I made my way to the door. I was scared but I don't know why. I felt a strange shiver being sent down my spine as I closed the door behind me. I walked to Aman's bed and stared at him as the beeping from the machine flooded my hearing.
"Please wake up Aman..." I sighed grabbing his hand.
"I can't lose another person I love..." I said feeling tears forming in my eyes.
"Please wake up..." I cried lowering my head on his hip bone. I held his hand close to my heart as I cried softly.
"I love you Aman" I whispered through my sobs. I felt his grip in my hand tighten and it wasn't coming from me. I shot my head up and looked at Aman, he was blinking his eyes open. His breathes came out slow and unsteady. His eyes drifted from the ceiling to me, he captured my gaze in his. A small smile started forming on his lips as a tear ran down his cheek. I smiled and felt ecstatic inside knowing that Aman is okay. I let the tears keep falling as we stared into each other's eyes, not wanting to look away. He released his hand from mine and brought it up to his breathing mask. He slid the breathing mask up and over his head placing it on his chest.
"Hi" he said faintly while flashing me a small soft smile.
"Hi" I smiled wiping away my tears.
"What happened" Aman said reaching for his shoulder.
"I think I should be asking you that" I laughed as Aman started to lift his bed a bit.
"I think I was in a car crash, right?" Aman asked while looking at me with innocence in his eyes.
"You were." I confirmed.
"Mmmm" Aman hummed while closing his eyes tightly. Suddenly he shot his eyes open quickly and squeezed my hand.
"Please tell me I was the only one who got hurt." He said in a almost pleading and scared voice.
"What?" I responded confused.
"Gene, Courtney, they didn't get hurt did they?" He said swallowing hard on his words.
"Well..." I started to say but was cut off by Aman.
"Shit!" He shouted while placing his free hand over his face. "This wasn't supposed to happen!" He mumbled angrily.
"What wasn't supposed to happen Aman?" I asked holding his hand tighter. He let out a long heavy sigh before removing his hand from his face.
"Call the doctor please" Aman asked in a pleading tone.
"Why" I asked starting to get a bit annoyed.
"Just call the doctor, please." He said while pulling his hand from mine. His tone was cold and rude. I felt tears of anger and hurt filling in my eyes so I angrily got up and walked out of the room. Tina and Aisha were talking about something when I walked out, the second they saw me it was like they had just been caught red handed.
"Everything okay?" Aisha said tensing.
"He's awake and wants the fucking doctor." I said gritting my teeth.
"He's awake!" Tina said excitedly.
"Yeah" I mumbled sitting down in a chair. At the perfect timing, the doctor came around the corner with his clipboard.
"Doctor he's awake!" Aisha said worriedly and excited. The doctors eyes widen and he went right into the room telling us we can't come in.
"I'll go tell Gene and Courtney" Aisha said smiling weakly and making her way down the hallway and out of our sight. Tina paced the hallway with a small smile as I stared at the door wanting to run in there and vent out all my anger and love for Aman. But I knew I couldn't, so I sat and stared. Then I heard footsteps, no... someone was running. Running down the hallway, towards us. Then Aisha appeared, panic on her face as she ran past Tina and right in front of me entering Aman's hospital room. I stood up and felt my hand reaching towards the door but something inside was telling me not to open the door. Then it opened and Aisha stood there, she looked shocked to see me standing right at the door but shook the thoughts away. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Aman walking... but he had a cast on not to long ago... I focused my vision on Aisha again and she looked concerned.
"Aisha what happened?" I asked.
"Gene and Courtney are gone!" She shouted.
"Couldn't he have been discharged?" I asked raising an eyebrow.
"No! He was supposed to have surgery today!" Aisha said close to tears.
"Where could they have gone?" I asked swallowing back my words.
"I... I... I don't know..." Aisha said starting to cry. She seemed more angry then upset to me and I just can't figure out why...

I need answers.

I need to tell Aman how I feel.

I can't give up now.
