Finding out

I sit up from the bench press and see Melina standing in the doorway with one of my white button up shirts on. She smiles at me as she makes her way over.
"Good morning," I smile as she stops in front of me.
"Morning," she giggles.
"How are you," I ask standing up and grabbing my towel from the weight holder.
"I'm good," she replies. I see a tiny gleam in her eyes that makes me smile. Ever since our one night a couple weeks back, everything just seems so good. Slowly but surely I know I will fall in love with her.
"I'm gonna go take a shower, after that we can do whatever you'd like," I say walking over to her.
"Okay," she smiles. I place a kiss on her forehead and head out of the workout room. I feel her watching me as I exit and head upstairs. I head up to the bedroom and go to the master bathroom. I press the button watching the water start to come down from the shower head and I sigh slightly. I take a quick shower and when I finish I wrap a towel around my waist before exiting and going into the bedroom. I don't see Melina but I end up getting changed quickly in case she came into the bedroom at any point. When I'm just about finished the door opens, Melina is standing there with a scared expression on but a smile trying to cover it up.
"Hey baby can I have the bedroom for a couple minutes?" She asks coming up to me with that same gleam in her eyes. I'm curious as to why she looks scared but I just smile.
"Sure," I say and lean down kissing her. She lightly withers in my arms when my lips press against hers. She pulls back and smiles at me. I walk out of the bedroom, closing the door behind me as I start to go down stairs... man I'm famished. I start to find something to eat when I get a call from Aisha. I smile and answer right away.
"Hey Aman!" She says excitedly into the phone.
"Hey," I laugh.
"Guess what!" She says almost yelling.
"What?" I ask smiling at her excitement.
"Sir has a new assignment for us to start, just you and me back on the field together!" She squeals with excitement. I feel my smile grow bigger and get just as excited as her. I love doing cases with Aisha, we work so well together.
"I'm excited! When do we start training?" I ask eating a grape from the bowl on the counter.
"Ummm... aane vaala kal," she says with a bit of hesitation in her voice.
"That's perfect, I just finished the case with Melina now we can start training for ours," I beam. I hear Aisha giggle in the phone and it makes me smile.
"How is she, the married life," Aisha asks.
"It's been good, everything went as planned that night after the banquet but the past three days she been a bit weird, she's always up before me, and sensitive," I sigh leaning against the counter.
"Is she sick?" Aisha asks concerned. I never thought it could be that she is sick but maybe she does have a small cold or something.
"Maybe, she's locked herself in the bedroom just now," I say look towards the stairs starting to get worried about her.
"Why?" Aisha asks why growing concern in her voice and if I'm mistaken a drop of excitement.
"I'm not sure! She only asked to have the bedroom for a couple minutes... it's been a bit though," I say starting to walk in the direction of the stairs.
"You should go check on her, after all she is your wife," Aisha says and I hear her boyfriends voice in the background showing he's gotten home.
"I'll let you go," I say.
"Okay, call me back when you find out what's going on I need full details!" Aisha says all giddy. I smile and hang up. What is Melina doing up there? I walk up the the stairs and go straight to our bedroom. I hear the sound of soft sobs and I don't even bother knocking. I open the door quite harshly and hear the sobs stop. I walk to the bathroom where I hear the sound of sniffling. I look in and see Melina sitting on the toilet, her eyes rimmed red with tears. I rush over and kneel in front of her but she avoids any eye contact with me.
"Melina?" I ask trying to get her to look at me. She turns her head away from me and I see a tear escape her eyes.
"Baby?" I ask knowing that she will look at me. And that she does. She looks at me with eyes that aren't full of sadness but full of excitement.
"Kya hua?" I ask smiling faintly. She smiles back at me and leans over giving me a kiss. When she pulls back I stare at her for an answer. She laughs slightly and pulls something from behind her back. Whatever it is had her smiling like crazy while she placed it in my hand. I look down at what it is and feel my faint smile fall completely and be replaced by shock. It's a pregnancy test... a positive pregnancy test... my wife... Melina... is pregnant. Melina is pregnant! My shock turns to excitement as I stand up and look down at her with a huge smile.
"Melina... are we really going to have a baby?" I ask placing the test on the sink and pulling her up. She giggles slightly and hooks her arms around my neck smiling happily.
"Haan," she replies and I feel excitement get the best of me and I lift her up and spin her around. She laughs and holds on for dear life as I lift her a little higher and walking out of the bathroom into the bedroom. I walk us over to the bed and I lay her down gently while hovering over her.
"Were gonna have a baby," I say excitedly.
"Haan we are," she smiles reaching up and moving a stray hair out of my face.
"A mini me, or a mini you," I say before leaning down and showering her with kisses. She laughs at this and I pull back smiling at her. That fear I saw earlier is gone and it's replaced by excitement and happiness.
"Thank you Aman," she says lifting her head up and placing a kiss on my lips.
"For?" I laugh while letting myself rest slightly on her body.
"Trying out this marriage... words can't describe how happy you make me. That one night... our one night, you were careful with me... it showed me you cared. I'm not one hundred percent sure if you love me back but know that I love you more than anything and would do anything for you. You're my world, I can't imagine living without you... and now... we have our own baby on the way... I couldn't ask for anything more from you. Thank you so much Aman for staying, for trying," she says with tears leaving her eyes and running down the sides of her face.
"Hey what's this..." I laugh feeling tears pricking my eyes as I wipe hers away.
"I just love you," she laughs while trying to stop crying.
"I love you too," I say back. I can't believe I've just said that... I mean... do I love her back? It's not like I don't in some form... I think I might. Her eyes widen and more tears fill her eyes. I can't let her cry so I lean down and capture her lips in a passionate kiss. She smiles lightly against my lips and I smile back. I can't believe we are having a baby. I'm going to be a father! I'm going to be a father... I can't believe this! I feel Melina hook her arms around my neck pulling me closer to her.  I press my body down on hers and with all my strength flip is over so she is atop. She smile at me and instead of kissing me again, she rests her head on my chest. I move my hand up and start to run it through her hair letting out a long breath.
"Everything is perfect,"
"That it is," Melina replies snuggling her head on my chest. I smile and close my eyes. Everything is finally falling into place, soon a baby, a beautiful wife, amazing friends and supportive parents. Everything is finally feeling perfect.
