I feel my fist slam into the wall as I follow Manav to the B.I.T room. I feel Priya, Aisha, Courtney and Gene's presence following me. I shouldn't be the one going into the B.I.T room but it's me who is the most intimidating. The B.I.T room stands for beat, interrogate, and test room. Manav stops in the empty hallway standing at the B.I.Troom. The room next to it is where you can see what is happening in the B.I.T room. Sort of like an interrogation type thing. Except in the B.I.T room, there will be blood shed, a loaded gun, and you will be shackled to a seat for safety precautions. All of this used to scare me when I first became and FBI agent, but now I feel powerful and fearless. Manav hands me my gun in the holder and I quickly put it on my side getting ready to go into the B.I.Troom.
"Aman!" Priya's voice cuts through my thoughts. I turn around she looks worried.
"What are you doing?" She says panicked.
"Im doing my job," I say placing my hand on her shoulder.
"But I can't let you get hurt again! I won't know if your okay!" She says with tears filling her eyes.
"The room next door will allow you to see me and what I'm doing. I'll be fine Priya," I say kissing her forehead.
"Please be careful," she whispers sadly. I kiss her forehead again and turn around placing my hand on the handle and pushing it down. I walk in swiftly and shut the door. The grey walls and white floor don't distract the sight in front of me. Vishal.
"Well well well, would you look what the storm brought in," I say to the menacing man who is sitting in a chair. Shackled. I hear a quiet, quick beep and know that Aisha must've turned on the speaker to hear me in the room next door. Priya must be watching.
"I think I can say the same," Vishal says spitting on the ground at me.
"Been a while hasn't it?" I say pulling my gun from the holder. I check the bullets and look at Vishal who is staring at the gun.
"Yeah, when was the last time I saw you... hmmm maybe after I killed your wife and kid?" Vishal snickers. I feel my blood start to boil and I point the gun to his head slightly missing as I shoot the wall behind him. He jumps and the shackles making noise as he turns in the chair to see the bullet in the wall. He turns his head at me, a hint of fear in his eyes as I walk towards him.
"Where are the drives Vishal?" I ask stopping in front of him.
"Why would I tell you? And betray Kaal? No way." He says scoffing. I pull the gun up to his head and see his whole demeanor change.
"You can betray Kaal, and tell me where the disks are. Or you can die." I say pulling back the trigger. I can tell he wants to tell me but betraying Kaal would be the death literal death of him.
"I won't betray Kaal," he says glaring daggers at me.
"Well, I know you've got a kid Vishal... and a beautiful wife... maybe I can bring them in? Change your life? Like you changed mine?" I say angrily. He fights against the shackles trying to get to me but can't.
"You wouldn't dare," he says with his voice catching in his throat.
"But I would," I say starting for the door. I hear the shackles going crazy and hear a shout rip from his chest.
"Stop!" He yells. I stop and turn around, he has a look that could kill on his face and I can see his wrists are bright red from trying to get free of the shackles.
"I'll tell you where the drives are," he says angrily. I feel my mouth pulling to a one sided grin and walk over narrowing my eyes at him. I stop in front of him and cross my arms over my chest waiting for him to tell me.
"The drives are at the same place you once lived..." Vishal says avoiding eye contact. That doesn't give me any clue to where they are, I've been moved around my entire life.
"Which home Vishal," I say over powering his words. He looks up at me and I can see fear in his eyes.
"The one your wife and child died in..." Vishal stutters out. I feel my breathing stop as Vishal mentions my child. My dead daughter who never got to live for her first birthday. I feel tears fill my vision and I turn around facing the glass that allows anyone in the room next to me see in. I take a few unsteady breathes and wipe my tears away. I turn back around while placing my gun back in the holder. I furiously walk towards Vishal and let my fist meet with his face. His head turns the other direction and I regain my posture.
"Why did you kill my family huh?" I say through gritted teeth. Vishal turns his head back towards me and I see blood falling from his nose at a fast pace. He stares at me, his breathing coming out ragged. I grab his shirt and lift him slightly from the chair but shackles hold him down.
"Why did you kill my family!" I shout into his face. He just glares daggers at me and I feel my hand ball into a fist. I bring my fist back and get ready to make impact with his face again when the door slams open.
"Aman, that's enough," Mr. Malhotra says. I drop Vishal's shirt and lower my fist. I turn away from him and walk towards Mr. Malhotra. He nods at me and I walk out of the room. He closes the door behind me and looks at me with a serious face.
"We know where the drives are now," he smiles faintly at me.
"But those drives won't bring back my family," I sigh letting my shoulders drop.
"Yes, but now you have my daughter... and if you truly love her... then I'm sure you will protect her, no matter what may come," Mr. Malhotra smiles. I feel a smile tug at my lips because I really do love Priya.
"Thank you sir," I say and look over to see Priya coming out of the watch room. She runs over to me and wraps her around me. I wince slightly since the wound on my side still hasn't healed yet. But I wrap my arms around her giving her a hug back. She pulls back from the hug and smiles at me. We look over at her Dad and he smiles at us.
"I give you my blessings," he says. I look back to Priya and the biggest smile is on her face.
"Aman! Aman!" She squeals excitedly.
"I knew he'd give us his blessings" I smile down at her and wrap my arms around her. She wraps her arms around me and I smile while resting my chin on her head. Everything was finally feeling right, feeling perfect. Now all I have to do is dispose of Kaal once and for all.
