He's lying

"So you understand now right?" Aman asks looking up at me with puppy dog eyes, he looks so innocent.
"Haan" I smile running my hand through his hair.
"And you won't ask any questions?" Aman asks smiling.
"Nahin" I laugh making a small circle on Aman's forehead.
"Good." Aman chuckles while closing his eyes.
"Aman?" I ask resting my hand in his hair.
"Hmm" He hums with a small smile creeping on his face.
"Did it hurt?" I ask obviously confusing him, because he pops open his eyes and stares at me with confusion etched along his every feature.
"Did what hurt?" Aman asks grabbing my hand.
"When you got shot..." I drift off on my words. I look at Aman and his face is emotionless, I shouldn't have asked such a stupid question.
"No" Aman says bluntly. No emotion, no worry, nothing. Why didn't it hurt when he got shot? I know it would hurt me!
"But how?" I Ask cocking my head to the side.
"I dunno, it was more like a rush of energy entering my body." Aman says while intwining our fingers together. Suddenly I don't feel so easy. Why was Aman so calm about this? Why was he saying that it was like 'energy'? Why is he showing no emotion?
"Anyway, how was lunch with your parents?" Aman asks changing the subject. I stare down at him and can't find any words to say, he's not telling me something. But... what?
"It was fine." I say sounding ruder than expected.
"Okay..." Aman replies while turning his head the other direction and away from me. I feel angry that he's not telling me something. I feel like I've hurt him somehow. I sit here with Aman's head in my lap and pure silence until his phone starts buzzing in his pocket. He grabs his phone and I quickly look at the caller ID.

Aisha

I feel my blood boiling as he answers the phone calmly. I watch as his expressions go from calm to panicked. He jumps up from my lap and yells into the phone that he'll be right there.
"What's going on?" I ask slowly starting to stand up.
"Nothing, I have to go," Aman says quickly.
"Why?" I ask stepping towards him.
"I just have to go, I'm sorry" he says landing a quick kiss on my cheek and sprinting across the fields.
"Aman!" I yell after him feeling frustrated and angry. I feel my feet start walking then I start quickening... before I know it I'm sprinting in the same direction Aman went. I come to a dead stop when I see the panic in Aman's face as he fumbles with his car keys. Finally he starts his car as I start jogging towards him. I can't help but feel tears stinging the back of my eyes, he should be telling me what's going on, he should be honest with me, but he's lying right to my face! I drop to my knees as I watch as his car speed past the school and out of my vision. That's when I knew that something was honestly wrong, that's when I knew I couldn't sit around and play games anymore. I need to confront one or the other... but I'm scared to know the truth. I'm scared the truth will break me. I stand up and brush the dirt off my knees. I take a deep breath and start walking towards my dorm building.

What is Aman hiding?

Why is Aisha involved?

Are they a couple?

No!

They can't be...

Wait a minute...

Who is that...

Suddenly I stop walking. I can see two people heading right towards my dorm building. Two familiar people... but who? I take two steps forward and it's like they know I'm trying to see who they are, because they stop walking and turn in my direction. Their faces aren't clicking in my head. Maybe because I'm too far away... there is a shadow cast upon the front of them making it hard to see their features clearly. I take a step closer and they step back, it's like they don't want me to know who they are. One is a female, one is a male... I know that much. But who exactly are they... and why don't they want me to know who they are? Suddenly it's like their luck flipped and the shadow from the tree moved. Then I saw them. My heart stopped beating and I could feel anger and confusion rushing through my veins. Without realizing it, I started walking towards them... but... why aren't they moving...
