Chapter 4:

(Harry's POV)

"I have an idea," Louis said breaking the silence from Niall's comment. We all turned to see what he had to say. We were all sat on the dry rocks that covered the plane, facing each other as we hung out, trying to ignore the ever-growing hunger in our stomach. It was as if the air was making us all feel hungrier quicker. All I could smell was blood without a drop in sight. 

"Go on" Zayn replied.

"We need to find the portal we came through" He stated. 

"That would have been a great plan but the portal closed up after we came threw," I said. 

"There has to be a permanent exit somewhere," Liam commented. A permanent one? I think the point of this astral plane was to ensure no one would be able to get out, I don't think they'll have an obvious exit. 

"What do you mean?" Louis asked. 

"What if a witch was accidentally banished here or someone was misplaced? They would need to know a way out," Liam replied. He did make sense if there was any in this place. 

"Okay, but where would you put a hidden portal?" I asked, hoping they would come up with ideas as I was coming short with them. 

"If I were going to put an exit somewhere, I would put it in the middle of that ocean or in the rocks somewhere where I would think of going" Zayn piped up, giving some weird places which made sense. They wouldn't want it to be obvious but somewhere they would know vampires wouldn't dare go. 

"You need to go to the pond," A statue said, the voice crackled making up jump. He wasn't fully dehydrated but he was on his way, you could tell because he couldn't move his body but his inner body was functioning. He also looked very familiar, like I've seen him before. I stood up and approached the statue wanting to meet the voice. 

"Swim to the bottom and let it take you" He continued, his bloodshot eyes dripping. 

"Olly?" Louis spoke up recognizing him first. I had to take a double look but sure enough, it was him. The guys joined me, as we stood around Olly.

"Olly Murs?"  Zayn repeated. 

"You know me?" He asked. The boys looked confused, looking towards each other, you could tell they all forgot about him but they were happy to see a familiar in here. 

"So this is where you went after Cowell died?" I quizzed. 

"Boys? I knew I recognized you five" He said, the realization growing a smile on his stone lips. I could see that time had not treated Olly well, he must have been here a while because I haven't seen him in what feels like decades. 

"Let's just say I've been put here for a while, You don't happen to have a blood bag with you? Anything really?" He asked innocently, coughing up lots of little stones that looked like dried up blood. 

"No sorry" Liam said for all of us. We wish we had been more prepared but this isn't something we planned to be doing. I felt the vampire's pain all around me, this astral plane was designed to make our kind suffer, to put us in a state worse than death. 

"It was worth a shot," He said laughing it off before closing his eyes. We didn't really know what to do now after he faded until he sharply opened his eyes. We all stood taking in the new information, waiting for Olly to continue but we quickly realized he was done. 

"Why are you still here? Go whilst you aren't dehydrated" He said closing his eyes again. 

"If we get out, we will find you and bring you back," Zayn said, tapping his hand on his shoulder before we began walking away. We start walking in search of a pond, anything that would qualify as a lake or water that wasn't the ocean in the distance. We could tell this was going to be difficult and long because it looked like a desert on one side and an ocean on the other, so there has to be a middle ground somewhere. Niall looked towards us all with a look of disappointment and laziness. 

"I'm never going to eat that sandwich am I?" He asked. We all burst out laughing and carried on in our search.
