Chapter 12:

(Ellie's POV)

A couple of hours after making the deal, me and mother sat in the castor room across from each other. We joined our hands and began to chant to release Harry and guys from the portal.

"Unde expulsi, eorum remissionem concedimus"

We only managed to say the sentence twice before the flame flickered and suddenly became a large flame making me jump.

"It's the portal." She muttered under her breath.

"What about it? Is Harry okay?" I asked as the flame vanished. I let go of her hands and put them between my legs.

"He should be. Because it doesn't exist. That must have been the magic that was undone earlier." She explained. I was relieved when she said he would have been okay.

"So he's out?" I asked smiling.

"Hopefully." She replied.

"I have to go find him." I stated standing up.

"This is not good." She muttered looking in the grimoire for answers.

"This is great." I said tucking my chair in the table.

"You don't understand. If the portal has been broken, hundreds of vampires of vampires have been released." She explained. That wasn't good. I was so wrapped in seeing Harry I couldn't think of anything else. I was consumed and all I knew was that I needed to find him.

"We can deal with this tomorrow." I replied walking round the table to her side.

"Ellie." She said disappointed that I was leaving her. I knew that if it were the other way round she would do the same. And if I know Harry well enough, he'll go home first before he comes to find me. I'll have a better chance there.

"I have to find him." I said giving her a kiss on the cheek before leaving to rush out the door.

(Liam's POV)

"Zayn. We need to talk. What we're doing, it's not right." I stated barging into his room, closing th door behind me. He was sat at his desk going through something when I entered. I could feel the mood shift in the room as he turned around.

"It's for the best." He replied remaining seated.

"For you. You know how much he loves Ellie. He's lost without her." I explained.

"He'll move on." He said turning back to whatever it was he was doing.

"When has he ever moved on? If it were that easy, he wouldn't have spent forty five years trying to find her." I stated.

"He has no choice." He said as if he was ignoring me. I walked to the side of his desk so he could see me as his attitude towards the situation was annoying me. His lack of empathy and his easy resolve to let it be annoyed me. How could he left his friend ... his brother not remember?

"He knows something is missing. He's not stupid." I explained.

"Then tell him." He said through an annoyed breath.

"You know I can't. We should all be trying to." I replied. I put my hand on the papers to get his attention when I realised his attitude towards Harry was about something else. It was rooted deeper than the explanation he was giving.

"This isn't about Harry. This is about your problem with Ellie. Harry was right in the portal." I said.

"She's trouble. This is our way to finally have that trouble gone. Why am I the only one who sees this?"

"He'll never forgive you once he remembers."

"If. Not once." He replied when a knock at the door interrupted our conversation.

"I'll get it" Harry called. Who would have been knocking on the door? The only person would have been Ellie unless Niall had ordered food, and he had just eaten.

"Harry don't!" Zayn shouted coming to the same realisation as I had. But it was too late and he

"Harry!" Ellie's voice exclaimed in happiness.

"Ellie!" I shouted, speeding to the front door behind Harry. Zayn joined me and I could hear the others making their appearance.

"Who?" Harry said generally confused putting Ellie at arms length. This is going to either two ways. He might remember like a switch or create more confusion.
