(Harry's POV)

"Harry?" I heard Niall's voice ask as I opened my eyes. I was laying on the grass when his words woke me. I blinked a couple of times and felt around me on the ground, the grass running through my fingers. That portal exit really took it out of me.

"Are you okay?" Liam asked putting his hand out to help me up.

"Yeah. I think." I said grabbing his hand to stand. Where were we? Why do I feel like I've been hit by a truck? My mind feels scrambled and confused.

"I don't think he's okay." Louis spoke analysing me. Why were they all acting weird. They were all stood looking over me, checking on me to see if I was okay. Had I missed something?

"Wait. What's going on?" I asked. I felt a mental block and I didn't know where it had come from. Why did I feel like I was forgetting something else? It wasn't just what happened here but what was leading up to this?

"What do you think happened?" Niall asked being cautious.

"We escaped the portal." I answered pointing to the portal exit.

"Do you remember why we were in the portal?" Niall continued to ask looking at Liam and then back at me.

"The witches trapped us." I continued confused as to why they were asking me.

"Do you remember why?" Niall asked still pushing.

"No. Why don't I know why?" I replied. Why didn't I know? And what was with the questions? It was if they were being cautious.

"Anyone want to test it?" Niall said turning to the others. Test what? What was I missing?

"Test what?" I asked laughing in confusion. What was going on? why were they acting weirdly?

"Harry. You can't remember b-" Liam started.

"-because of the witches." Zayn interrupted. Liam shot him a look of confusion but chose not to carry on.

"What's going one here?" I asked annoyed of the games that were clearly being played.

"Maybe this is for the best. It's a fresh start for him. For all of us." Zayn explained to the others.

"I promised him." Liam replied.

"It's easier said than done." Louis added. They were all huddled around each other. Now I didn't trust what was going on.

"What are you not telling me?" I asked getting frustrated with the tiptoeing around.

"We want to tell you but we can't" Niall stated. Why can't they? What happened?

"The witches have put a curse on us. We literally can't tell you." Liam spoke. I began to search their minds and all I could see was their bodies being held by branches in the air.

"I can try and show you the past-" Louis said pulling me out. What had happened? What do I not know?

"-Louis don't. We don't know what will happen if you do." Zayn interrupted.

"Why?" I asked. What were they hiding?

"It's not going to help you." Zayn answered shooting a daring look at the others in warning.

"But-" Liam argued.

"No. Harry needs to rest. Let him catch his bearings first." Zayn cut in again making it final. I could see the defeat in all of their eyes and I could see I wasn't going to find out today, not from them. Zayn walked towards me and patted my back to join the others before he teleported us away back home. Once we were there, everyone began to separate. Niall and Liam stayed together talking in code between each other. Louis was pulling at his blood soaked clothes as he walked away presumably to the shower. As Zayn was about to walk away, I pulled his elbow back not letting the issue go.
