Hiccup:

Dad had told me to go to sleep. We would talk about it in the morning, he had said. But no way I was able to sleep! Heeeeelllllooooooo, this was WAY too exiting!

After I had showed him the letter, dad had screamed something about Thor's bra and said I was a wizard. Yeah, no kidding right... I had just read it!

But...he had actually believed it! It was kind of comforting to know, because now I wouldn't be the only one gone mad if it was a trick. Our confersation next had become a bit blurry in my mind: Dad had muttered something about Astrid and we would talk about it in the morning. Or maybe he didn't even mention Astrid's name. I just couldn't stop imagining how it will be if she hears I was a wizard! She would sure date me...

IDEA! Why not tell her right now? I sat up in bed and started to change my clothes again. Why shouldn't I? I mean, I just had to tell her and then we would be dating. This could not wait untill the morning!

A few moments later, I ran through the abandoned streets of Berk towards Astrid's house. By the Gods, I hoped she was still awake!

When I arrived at her house, I tried to whisper as loud as possible. Unfortunately, it sounded more like I had tried to shout at soft as possile, causing the Vinking next door yelling at me. Great.

"Sorry!" I whispered, but I didn't mean it. Shut up yourself, I thought. I needed to bring a very important message! Rolling my eyes, I tried to shout/whisper a bit softer.

"Astrid! It's me: Hiccup!" I looked up, hopeful "I need to tell you something important! I-eeeeh..." I thought for a moment, searching for a bad excuse "I have a message from my father to you!"

I listened and eventually her window slid open. It was at the first floor, of course. It was a plus she didn't got a baclony...

"Hiccup!" She hissed softly, sounding a bit angry, "Whát is it? I am trying to sleep!"

I took a deep breath. Everyting I would say now would effect my future with her. I wanted to say I had a message, which I could tell her if I was able to come in, but instead I exploded in words:

"ListenthiseveningtherewasanowlanditcarriedaletterandIcatchedit-notonpurpose-butIcatcheditandinthatletterstoodthatIamawizard!"

She stared at me, confused.

"Listen, I'm not sure what you just said. Hold on a minute, I'm coming down!"

I nervously waited as she walked down at me. I could slap myself at that moment. That was so stupid! Why couldn't I just be cool?

"Good. Say it again." she whispered "But this time s-l-o-w-l-y!"

I took another deep breath and told her the whole story. I saw her eyes getting bigger and bigger. I hoped it wasn't fear... When I finished, she remained silent.

"Soooooo...?" I looked at her and moved my weight from my left leg to my right. And left. And right. Then, Astrid pulled me inside her house. I looked around. Cozy, for a Viking.

Then, she started whispering at me, at top speed, just like I had done before. I could barely keep up with her.

"I got the letter too, Hiccup! I am also invited to go to Hogwarts! Isn't it great!? I cannot believe this! We are going to a magic school together?" she gasped, "What if one of the others got the letter, too? I mean, that would be so cool!"

Astrid looked at me, smiling wide. I felt my heart pounding in my chest. She had such a beautiful smile...

"Hold on! We aren't supposed to talk about this yet! I promised your dad I won't tell anyone beside my parents!" She looked at me, frowning. "Let's not tell them about this. We see eachother in the morning, okay?"
