Hiccup:

I talked to Jack for a while and then we got dressed in our schooluniforms. I was used to itchy fabric like wool, but Jack obviously wasn't.

Every time he would start itching his chest or neck, I would stare at him and slap his hands away.

"By Thor, Jack! Don't you know you're not supposed to itch the thing all the time! It only makes it worse! Believe me, it will stop itching after a while!"

Jack rolled his eyes but tried to stop. Ha. Victory.

Jack was by the way a very cool person to be around with. Yes, that was a joke. Haha. Can you see me laughing?

But he is –figuratively- a very cool person to be around with. We had lots of fun just telling stories and facts about ourselves. I learned that he loved to have a snowball fight, no surprise there, and he enjoyed watching the dreams soaring through the air.

When I looked at him weirdly, he explained everything about Santa, the Easterbunny, Sandy, and the Tooth-family. After that, he looked around and got quiet. Like he was looking for someone.

I decided to let it go and told a bit about myself. That my father was the leader of our village, and of course about the dragons. They seemed to interest Jack so I told him about the different kinds of dragons: the big, clumsy Gronkles; spikey Nadders; Monsterous Nightmares with their fireskin; terrifying Screaming Deaths; and the irritating little Terrible Terrors.

When I was done, he laughed.

"Well I like those Terrors! They're tiny and irritating! The best combination!"

He smirked.

"Just like you!"

I gaped at him with open mouth. Did he- Did he just call me a Terrible Terror?

Jack laughed at my expression and after a while I started laughing with him. He meant it well. Not to harm, like the kids back at Berk.

I was glad I might have found myself a friend- a real friend who respects you fully and laughes at your bad jokes.

It got dark soon and after a while we could feel the train slowing down. It was time. We had arrived in Scotland and at Hogwarts.

I couldn't wait.

Merida:

When the train slowed down, Astrid, Rapunzel and I pressed our noses against the window, eager to see a whole new world full of magic.

In the distance, we could see lights appear and they came closer and closer every second.

The train stopped at a little platform and hundreds of students came pouring out of the train like cows that see their meadow for the first time after a long winter.

We got out as well, leaving our trunks behind since we were told those would be brought to our dorm rooms once we were sorted.

Once we were sorted.

Suddenly, I felt nerves coming up and making my brain feel like a buzzy road on a market day. Where would I be sorted? I hoped in Gryffindor, since there was where brave people went. I would make my dad very proud if I told him I was sorted into the 'brave house'.

Maybe, if I was lucky, Rapunzel or Astrid would be sorted into the same house as me.

If I will be sorted at all shot through my head.

Blimey Merida! No! don't you think like that!

I was ripped out of my thought-bubble by a bouldering voice.

"First years this way! First years! Follow me!"

We turned around to see a gigantic man towering above us, waving his arms to get the attention of the new students. The man was massive. Massive, I tell ya!

He was at least three metres long, had a full beer belly, hands like carriage wheels, and a full brown beard. Like I said, massive.

I looked at the others and their expressions mirrored mine. Rapunzel had gone a little pale and she stared at the man with big eyes.

We started to walk towards the big man. When he saw most first year students had gathered around him, he spoke with a warm, friendly voice:

"Hi there! My name's Hagrid, keeper of the keys and grounds of Hogwarts! And a professor in Care for Magical Creatures, but that's something else." He coughed and pointed towards a lake, where ten small wooden boats were waiting for us.

"Since you're all first years, you get the special treatment! The boats will take you to the castle and give you a first look on all the beautiful towers and lights that shine. Truly magical!"

Hagrid smiled down at us, he seemed to glow of pride. I felt myself calm down a bit. This big man made the night even more magical then it already was.

Hagrid then led us down to the boats and we all got in. Rapunzel had never been on a boat before, so she was a little shaky, but I hold her hand and eventually she stepped in as well.

I sat in a boat with Rapunzel, a small kid with brown hair and freckles, and a petite girl with multi-coloured hair and eyes with the colour of sparkling amethysts. I knew what those stones looked like because my mom used to have a necklace with it.

She smiled and looked to her right, where no-one was seated. The girl seemed to hold somebody's hand, but I saw no one. I frowned lightly as she started to whisper to the empty spot.

The freckle-boy on her left seemed to think it's completely normal and looked at the empty spot with a smile.

What the hell is going on?!

A/N:

Hi lovely readers!

Heheheheeheheeee... Merida just doesn't seem to get it, does she?😉 What do you think happened?

I guess you noticed this chapter was shorter than normal, and I will explain why.

School has started for me and it has killed all of my little spare time I had to write and relax. I thought it would be better if I started posting shorter chapters so I will be able to update faster.

Please let me know how you think of it and warn me when chapters become too damn short. I am still learning to write here on Wattpad, so please have mercy! 🤓😇

I wanted to thank all of you who stayed with me to this point! You are the best!😁💕

Have a lovely day and see you next chapter!
