Merida:
When we finally got out of the bookstore, my mom dragged me to some other shops. We bought a kettle, some potion ingredients and writing equipment. By the end of the day, I'd seen some pretty amazing stuff.
"Let's go home Merida, and show your father all your supplies!" my mom said.
I nodded and without a warning, she grabbed my arm and we disappeared from Diagon Alley.
"Blimey mom! Couldn't you give me a warning or something?!?!"
She smiled. "No. I couldn't!"
I rolled my eyes at her while she walks away from me. We were back in the woods and our horses were still ten yards away. When I got to Angus, I petted him in his neck.
"Heya Angus! You wouldn't believe where we have been!" I gave him a wink and he snorts at me.
"Don't ya say you know it, cuz I know ya don't!"
He snorted again. "Fiiiine, then I won't tel ya. I couldn't care less!"
I laughed when he started to look at me with those puppy eyes. "Oooh, now you're quiet, eh? Well, it's because I love you, but otherwise I wouldn't tell ya!"
Underway to home, I discussed the Alley with my mother. It was really nice that for once, our conversation wasn't about how to be a princess, or why having a weapon was wrong. We told each other what we discovered and what we saw during the day. It felt really good.
When we got home with all our saddlebags full of wizarding stuff, we brushed off our horses and fed then in the stables. As soon as they were all set, we walked up to the dining room, since it was dinnertime and we figured dad would be there.
That turned out to be right, and when we entered, he said "Good Afternoon, my beautiful woman! How was your day?" He seemed generally interested, and I told him everything. The crowded street, the weird clothes, the boring books, the kids I met at Mallekin's, and of course I showed him my wand. I was very proud of it, it made me feel like I was a real witch. Like this wasn't all a dream.
When I had finished telling him, he looked down at me with a smile on his face.
"I am very proud of you Merida, you must know that. Before I met your mother, I'd never met a witch before in my life, but she is so smart and caring..." He pulled mom towards him and gave her a kiss. Bleh. "I'm sure you will turn out just as wonderful. I am very proud to call myself the husband and the father of two brilliant witches!"
That was so sweet of him! I gave him a giant hug. "I love you daddy!"
When we were done eating, mom and dad tried to get my idiot brothers to bed, and I was left alone with the dogs. I decided to bring my school stuff to my room, so the cleaners wouldn't get suspicious when they searched my bags. I am pretty sure they do that sometimes, but I haven't caught one red-handed yet.
After three times of walking to my room and back, I finally had succeeded in dragging the stuff upstairs and I let myself fall onto my bed. I had so much things to think about- like my mom's family, the letter, Diagon Alley- but I was so tired that as soon as my head hit the pillow, I fell asleep.
Jack:
After spending my day at Diagon Alley with Santa and Tooth, I left them with a smile on my face. It had been one of the best days in my life. Or whatever it is what I call 'life'.
Tooth had told me her theorie about why people could see me. I thought it was pretty clever of her and it was clear she had already spend some time reading the schoolbooks.
She told me that, apart from visible things like broomsticks and carpets, the wizarding world didn't know anything else to fly in the air. The only options wizarding kind knew what would cause floating without, were an invisible person or a curse.
Since Tooth had laughed when I lifted her off the ground, it only seemed logical that the wizards knew there was someone lifting her. And that was the moment they saw me.
Tooth had flapped it out like it was nothing. I'm sure it would've taken me a hell lot of time more to figure this out.
