Merida:

After three hundred goodbye hugs and even a few tears, my mom took me by my arm and disapparated.

Not a second later, we appeared on Platform 9 3/4. I looked around and my mouth fell open. So many people!

The only time I'd seen this many was on our annual highland games, where the whole clan Dunbroch came together.

With big eyes and my trunk behind me, I walked towards a huge red steam train.

"Merida!" Somebody called me and I looked around.
I recognised the voice, but I couldn't recall who it belonged to.

"Merida! Here!"

I followed the voice and saw a blond girl running towards me. I vaguely remembered her, but I wasn't sure...

"Hey Merida! Remember me?"
She looked at me expectingly.

"Uuuhm..." I stared at her and she rolled her eyes.

"The name's Astrid. We met at Madame Mallekin's, remember?"

My eyes got big and I felt myself get red.

Yes, even more than I already was.

"I remember now! Hey Astrid, how are ya?"

She smiled and nodded.
"Good, thanks! I kinda lost Hiccup, so I'm really glad I found someone I know at least a little."

I agreed, I felt the same way.
Then I sensed my mom's presence behind me and introduced her to Astrid.

"Mom, this is Astrid, the girl from that clothes shop I told you about, remember?"

Mom smiled and shook Astrid's hand.
"Queen Elenor Dunbroch, Merida's mom. Nice to meet you!"

Astrid's eyes got big and she looked at me and mom and back at me.

"Queen? I read about Queens! But... then you must be a princess!"

I tried to avoid her gaze.
"Yeah, sorta..."

"That's pretty cool, Mer!" She winked at me and my mom chuckled a little.
How much she would've given to make me say that one day.

"So shall we head to the train? It's 10.57, so it leaves in a few minutes."
Astrid said and my mom and I nod.

Another goodbye. Yay.

"Well Merida, you have fun sweetheart."
Wow. I never expected her to say that! Although...

"But not too much, you still are a princess young lady!"

There it was.

I roll my eyes and hug her tight.
"Bye mom I'm gonna miss ya!"

I grab my trunk and dragging it with me.

"Miss you already!" she called after me.

I heard Astrid chuckle and I rolled my eyes.
"Bye mom!"

We step inside the train and search for a somewhat empty cabin. We find one with just one girl inside.

"Hey" Astrid said to her "Can we sit here? We're first years..."

The girl smiles.
"Yes of course! I'm first year too and I'm so excited! What do you think Hogwarts will be like?"

I chuckle at her enthousiasm and sit down. It was until then that I noticed her long blonde hair.
