Once I stepped into the boat, it balanced on the calm water and I nearly fell. I had never been on a boat before, so this was really scary. But actually, it was beautiful as well because when I looked at the water, I saw the small wrinkles on the water from the movement of the boat. I watched in awe as they grew bigger and bigger until they just vanished.
It was odd how such a normal, everyday thing could be so... well... not everyday. I realised this was the first time I'd been on a boat in my entire life, on a lake, with wrinkles!
I got so excited it seemed like Christmas and when I turned to Merida to tell her about my experience, I saw her staring at the other children in our boat. I shifted my attention to them and saw a little boy with brown hair and freckles and a beautiful girl with the funniest hair I'd ever seen.
I looked at Merida again and saw her still gazing to the other two. I looked at them again. And to Merida. And back to them. Then I saw Merida raising an eyebrow and turning towards me.
She gestured with her head towards the other kids and I looked back at them. They were talking to a person next to them.
Only... there was nobody.
I blinked a couple of times and saw the girl laughing at the empty space next to her, holding a hand I did not see.
Suddently, I saw a hand appear into the girl's hand and when I folowed it up, an arm appeared. Attatched to that arm was the rest of a body.
In a matter of seconds, I was looking straight into the most wonderful blue eyes I'd ever seen.
How is that possible?
Hiccup:
The first time I bumped into Tooth was the most awkward situation.
It all happened when I stepped out of the Hogwarts Express and onto the Platform near the school. I fell over because I stepped on something tiny and landed face-first on the stones.
Jack yelped and dived towards me. Or so I thought. He kneeled down behind me and picked something up. It was the thing I stood on. Or should I say creature? I'm not sure yet.
He checked if it were allright and then picked me up one-handed.
"I think she deserves an apology from you, Hic."
He shoved his hands in my face and I stared into the most purple eyes I'd ever seen.
They belonged to a tiny little creature what kind of looked like a hummingbird, but human at the same time. It had beautiful feathers all over her body and even little wings plastered to her back. The nose was so pointy I think she would have won a swordfight with a swordfish. No kidding!
