Francine was looking at me like I was a weird person. Tawa kasi ako nang tawa after I told her a joke Logan told me a few days ago. Sobrang benta nung joke sa akin that I still can't stop myself from laughing really hard. But obviously my friend doesn't get it.
"Hindi ka ba natatawa? Nakakatawa kaya?" I said when I finally caught my breath.
"Okay ka lang, Mille?"
"Oo! Bakit naman hindi?"
"Ay oo, mukha ngang okay ka na. Tapos ka nang magmukmok tungkol kay Papa RJ at nakamove on ka na."
"Natatawa lang ako sa joke ni Logan tapos move on na?"
"Hindi pa ba? I mean, you hardly mention RJ. Kahit nakikita natin siya ay parang wala lang sa 'yo. Unlike before na halos maihi ka sa sobrang kilig. Tapos lately si Logan ang palagi mong kasama. And you talk about him all the time. Kung hindi 'yan being moved on, I don't know what is."
Have I really moved on? I mean, she notices all these things about me so it must be true. At kung nakaget over na nga ako kay RJ, dapat ba maging masaya na ako? So ano nang nangyari dun sa ilang taon ko siyang naging crush at halos habulin?
"Ano, natigilan ka 'no? Did it hit home?"
"Ha? Ewan ko. I don't know what you're talking about," I argued. Totoo naman dahil this is all new to me. Ngayon lang sumagi ito lahat sa isip ko. I can't cope that fast.
"Girl, 'wag ka na magdeny. I can see right through you. At kahit hindi mo pa narerealize, ako nakikita ko na sa 'yo. Basang-basa kita sister. Are you falling for Logan?"
"Of course not!"
"Pero? Alam ko may pero 'yan."
"Walang pero. I'm enjoying his company. He's a good person and he makes me laugh all the time. Hindi ko inexpect na magiging ganito kami ka-close. At 'yun lang 'yun, very close friendship lang 'yun." I said that with much conviction to convince Francine... and maybe to convince myself as well.

"Hindi ka ba busy? Wala ka bang paper na dapat isulat?"

"Meron pero tapos na ako mag-aral."
"Sure ka na okay na 'yung pagreview mo?"
"Okay na 'yun. Besides, I need a break. My body and brain need a rest from the studying."
"Ganun ba?" And then I heard the sound of our doorbell. "I have to go. May tao sa labas."
