The ride up in the elevator was a quite one. Everyone was far too tense to speak. We all just waited as we looked at the floors tick buy until we reached the main floor. The bell dang but then nothing happened. The doors did not open even though the elevator had stopped.
"What the hell?" I asked Frost.
He just shrugged his shoulders obviously as confused as I was.
"I'm very disappointed in you Frost." Head Bitch's voice spoke over the intercom system.
"Fuck." He responded and it became clear that she had revoked his access and locked down the elevator.
"You had a bright future ahead of you. Now all you will have to look forward to is meat loaf Mondays." She told him.
J started slapping at the door while his goons tried to pry them open unsuccessfully.
"Can she hear us?" I asked him.
"No it's a one way system." He answered.
"Good." I said then turned back to J who was yelling at the camera.
"Calm down!" I yelled at him.
He turned to look at me and he was so angry. For a second I though he was going to hit me.
"What?" He snapped at me.
"I have a plan." I told him.
"Well then don't leave us hanging Sweet Pea." He answered sarcastically.
"I'll open the doors. Then I'll go out first, take the fire. Ivy will follow. We will clear the way for the rest of you." I told them.
"Once the gunners our taken care of I can lead you out." Frost said being the only one who actually know the way.
"Sounds like a plan with just one adjustment." J answered.
"What?" I asked him.
"While you're taking fire and getting the car, I have to attend to something." He answered.
"What could be so important?" I asked not understanding what he needed to do.
"Just a little pay back. Don't worry about it I'll be back before you even notice I'm gone." He said.
He was being weird and for the first time I did not know if he was telling me the truth.
"You're not planning on leaving me here?" I asked him.
"I wouldn't dream of it Sweet Pea." He said as he grabbed hold of my chin forcing me to look him directly into his crazed blue eyes.
"Okay then. Ten minutes. You get ten minutes and then I come find you." I told him.
He did not answer he just smiled then turned to face the door.
"Are you ready for this?" I asked Ivy.
"Hell yeah." She answered.
I stepped forward and placed my fingers in-between the two doors. I looked over to J who was practically bouncing with glee. He was really enjoying this. His goons on the other hand seemed stone cold calm. But who really knew because I could not see any of their faces. Ivy was playing with the seeds in here hands and Frost had his gun raised, everyone was ready for the fight to come.
"Here we go." I said before pushing the doors open, letting the light form the hall fall in.
