Chapter 7

Jacob's P.O.V

The next day, dad dropped me off at the Quillayute airport. I hugged dad in the car and then I got out.

"Bye, Jacob." Dad said.

"Bye, dad." I said grabbing my bags and closing the doors.

He drove off, and I walked into the airport. When I got inside, I headed to the closest ticket booth and got my tickets. The person at the desk asked me if I wanted her to take my bag for boarding.

"Yes." I said.

She took the bag and put a ticket on it and I walked out of the line. I headed through security and handed them my boarding pass. The officer looked at me and looked at the boarding pass.

"Do you think you're a little young to be flying by yourself?" The man asked.

"No, I'm almost seventeen." I replied.

"OK."

He made a mark on the ticket and handed me back my ticket and I.D. After going through security, I grabbed my bag and headed toward my gate 21G to Maui Hawaii and arriving at Kahului Airport. After getting to my gate, I checked my phone and noticed I had an hour until boarding so I grabbed lunch at the closest restaurant possible. After grabbing my food and sitting down, I took my phone out. I noticed that I got two missed calls from Rachel and one missed call from Bella. I called Rachel, and she answered right away.

"Hello." I said.

"Hey, Jacob." Rachel said.

"So why did you call?"

"I called because I was wondering if you made it into the airport."

"Yeah, I have an hour till boarding."

"Great, well I'll see you in a couple hours with Rebecca."

"OK."

"Bye."

"Bye."

I hung up the phone and called Bella next. It took a little while for her to answer and finally she answered.

"Hello." Bella said.

"Hey, it's Jacob." I said.

"Hey Jake, I miss you."

"I miss you too."

"So why are you calling I thought you be on your flight by now?"

"No boarding is in an hour."

"Oh."

"So where are you now?"

"Well we left a couple hours ago, so we finally made it to Florida."

"That's great. I am happy you got there safe. I would be so upset if I found out that something had happened to you."

"Jacob, nothing will happen to me. I promise."

"I hope so."

"So..."

"Bella, I don't know if I'm able to talk to you in Hawaii."

"We can video chat or something."

"Yeah."

"Jake, are you okay?"

"Yeah, I guess I just don't think I can stay away from you for so long."

"Is this the imprinting or just you?"

"I think both."

"Jacob, I know it's hard for but it's hard for me too. We'll get through it I promise it will only be a month."
