Chapter 34

Bella's P.O.V

As we pulled out of the driveway of the Cullen's, I got curious about where Jacob was taking me. I turned to Jacob and spoke.

"So, where are you taking me?" I asked.

"You'll see." Jacob replied with a smile.

I groaned in frustration, and Jacob noticed and placed his hand on my thigh and squeezed it. After thirty minutes of driving, I started to see just trees as we got further into the forest.

"Seriously Jacob, where are you taking me? There is nothing around, and we have been driving for half an hour." I said as I started to play with Jacob's hand that is on my thigh.

"We're almost there." Jacob said.

I groaned again, and he chuckled.

"You're cute when you're frustrated." Jacob said as he took my hand in his and kissed the top of my hand causing tingles to flow throughout my body.

I blushed a little and tried to hide my face. Fifteen minutes later, we pulled up to a parking area to park the truck, and I started to look around curiously. Jacob got out of the truck and walked around to open the door for me. I got out, and he closed the door behind me. He then took my hand and pulled me along with him as he lead me somewhere. As we started walking along a path in the forest, I started to get a little scared since it was quiet and all I heard were animals, and the sun was beginning to set. Also since I was pregnant, I didn't want anything to happen to the baby.

"Jacob, are we almost there? I'm getting a little scared." I said.

"Yeah, there is a bridge a couple of blocks from where we are going to cross, and then we have a couple more blocks, and then we'll be there." Jacob said. "Also don't worry there's nothing out here. If there was, I would know."

I nodded. Five minutes later we reached a long swinging bridge, and I started to get nervous.

"Don't worry babe; I'll hold your hand the whole time." Jacob said.

I nodded, and we started to walk on to the bridge. It started to shake a little, and Jacob grabbed on to my waist and held me tightly. When we got across the bridge, I breathed in sign in relief.

"You okay, Bella?" Jacob asked.

"Yeah, I'm glad that's over." I said.

"Just wait till we have to do it all over again later." Jacob said with a smirk.

"What?" I asked.

"How else are we going to get back to the truck?" Jacob asked.

"Go around." I replied.

Jacob chuckled.

"Yeah but that would take longer."

"True but it would be safer."

Jacob shook his head with amusement and took my hand.

"Come on let's go." Jacob said.

After a little while of walking further caused my feet to swell up, so Jacob had to carry me, and we finally made it. We walked onto a small wooden deck, and Jacob put me down, and I looked at the scene in front of me. It was beautiful. I could see the mountains and the water.

"Wow, this is beautiful." I said. "Where did you find this?"

Jacob sat down on edge and grabbed my hand telling me to sit next to him. I sat down with Jacob helping me since my stomach was showing now which made it hard to sit on the floor on my own. Jacob wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me closer.
