Chapter 36

Bella's P.O.V

The next morning I had our next checkup. I got up and got dressed putting of some black legging and a blue tank top with an open a dark green flannel cardigan. I put my hair up in a bun and didn't put any makeup on. I then put socks on and some sneakers. Jacob wasn't here, so I was guessing he had to go to something and also he probably didn't want my dad to walk and see him in my room. I headed out of the room and headed down the stairs slowly with my hand on my big stomach. I sincerely couldn't believe I was almost done with my pregnancy. I felt like I was going to pop. I looked in the living room to see dad reading a newspaper.

"Hey, good morning dad." I said, walking down the stairs.

He looked at me and smiled.

"Good morning, sweetie." Dad said, looking at me. "Hum let me help you."

He rushed over to me, and took my hand, placed his hand on my back.

"Huh sure. Thanks, dad." I said.

"I had to do this with your mother when she was at this stage of her pregnancy." Dad said.

"You good." Dad said as we get to the bottom of the stairs. "Do you want me to help you sit down."

"Dad I'm fine I'm good now."

"OK, just let me know."

I nodded.

Suddenly I got a text, and it was from Jacob.

Hey beautiful, I'm here when you're ready.

K. I'll be right out.

"Jacob is here so I'll see you later." I said.

"OK, see you later." Dad said.

I headed out the door and closed the door behind me. Jacob must've heard my footsteps because he looked up at me while leaning against his truck, smiling at me.

"Hey, beautiful." Jacob said, pulling me in for a hug and a kiss.

"Hey." I said.

"How's our baby boy?"

"Good, he's kicking alright."

"He's going to be just like me?"

I smiled.

"How are you feeling, though?" Jacob asked.

"Alright, just backaches." I replied.

"Come of let me help in the truck."

I nodded. He placed his hand on back sending tingles up my back. He then picked me up and put me in the passenger's seat.

"Surprised that you can pick me up with how fat I am." I said.

"Babe, I'm the strongest wolf in my pack. You're light to me." Jacob said with a smirk.

Cocky much.

"Whatever." I said, rolling my eyes.

He closed the door, walked to the driver's seat, and got in. We then headed to the Cullen's.

When we pulled up to the house, Jacob helped me out, and we walked to the door. We knocked and Carlisle came downstairs to open it.

"Hey, kiddos. Ready for your check up." Carlisle said.

"Yes." I said.

As we walked in, Jacob stopped me and picked me up in his arms, and I looked at him curiously.

"I don't want you to fall climbing the stairs." Jacob said.

I nodded.

We got upstairs, and Jacob put me back down. I looked and saw Edward, but what surprised me was that there was a woman right next to him. She had brown hair and blue eyes and pale skin like me. She was obviously human. They were holding hands. I suddenly felt jealous, but I brushed it off. I was with Jacob and only Jacob. Edward saw me and got up and walked over to me to give me a hug.
