Chapter 33

Bella's P.O.V

Today was Easter and the last day before I left to go back to college tomorrow. Also, today I had a checkup, and later Jacob was taking me out after. Right now, we were in the truck on our way to the Cullen's house. Twenty minutes later, we arrived, and Jacob came around and opened the door for me, and I got out. Jacob then took my hand, and we headed upstairs. When we got upstairs, it was quiet, so I'm guessing everyone was out. Suddenly, I heard footsteps, and Carlisle walked in.

"Hey, kiddos. You ready?" Carlisle asked.

We nodded. We followed him into the library, and I laid down on the bed, and Jacob sat next to me in the chair. I lifted my shirt where it was showing my baby bump which was really starting to show and Carlisle started to apply gel on my stomach and then used the transducer on my belly to moved it around. We then looked up at the screen to see the baby. Carlisle's eyes widened when he saw what was on the screen.

"Oh wow." Carlisle said.

"What, is there something wrong with the baby?" I asked worriedly.

"No your baby is fine and very healthy."

I signed in relief.

"What I see here is that your baby has grown a lot since the last time you were here. It seems from what I see on the screen is that you look 26 weeks pregnant which from what I see is that you might be done with your pregnancy very soon." Carlisle said. "Also you are already done with your first trimester, so your sickness should be gone by now, and your baby will start growing soon."

My eyes widened, and I looked at Jacob who was smiling. I couldn't believe in little time, my baby will be here.

"Also what I can see here is that the baby is the size of an eggplant and weighs two pounds and nine inches and if you probably see that your baby can now open his eyes so which means he can see what's going on." Carlisle said. "So if you wanted to, if you flash a light on your stomach, your baby might respond with a kick."

I widened with a smile.

"OK." I said.

"Moreover your baby can also hear noises and can also respond to them by kicking." Carlisle said. "However, since the baby is stronger than a healthy baby you will feel more pain now because of the kicking."

I nodded, and Carlisle started to rub the gel off my stomach. When he was done, I pulled my shirt down, and Carlisle got up.

"I'll be right back." Carlisle said.

We nodded, and Carlisle walked out of the room. I sat up and looked at Jacob who got up and kissed me on the lips. My eyes widened when he pulled away while looked me in the kiss with love in them.

"What was that for?" I asked.

"Nothing, I'm just happy that we're having a healthy baby together and that the love of my life is carrying it." Jacob replied.

I smiled and kissed him on the lips. After a minute later, Carlisle came back into the room with a clipboard in his hand.

"So Bella, how have you been doing with the pregnancy?" Carlisle asked.

"Well, not too bad. I threw up a couple on times and lately I have been having ligament pain in my stomach but nothing severe." I said.

"That's good. With the ligament pain, just take some pain medication, and it will help with the pain."

"Alright."

"Well, that's it for now. However, I want to see you back memorial weekend so pretty much at the end of May."
