Chapter 13

Bella's P.O.V

The next couple of days were normal. I did not talk to Chase or Jacob for a while even though I know Jacob wants to talk to me. I packed because I would leave for college in three days. I was so nervous, though. It was as if I had butterflies in my stomach. I set more of my clothes in my suitcase and my mom brought in the rest of my laundry.

"I cannot believe you're leaving me so soon. I will miss you so much." Mom said.

"I will be seeing you a lot. It's not like I'm moving back yet." I said.

"Wait you're moving back to Forks after college?"

"Yeah to be with Jacob, I will get my house."

"I thought you would live in Florida."

"Nope."

"Hum, OK."

She was upset. I walked over to her and gave her a hug.

"Mom, I will be spending so much time with you these months, I need to see dad too." I said.

"Yeah, you're right, I'm being selfish." Mom said.

I pulled away and walked back over to my suitcase.

"Well, I'll let you pack." Mom said.

She walked out of my room and I kept packing.

Jacob's P.O.V

After a couple of days hanging out with my sisters, I realized I have gotten a lot closer with them now. We would go down to the beach, swim, and maybe surf some. We went to some parties on the beach and girls would still check me out. It got a little annoying, though, but I ignored them. Today I took a walk on the beach wearing swim trunks and a t-shirt. I walked over to a bar and stood in the shade. An older woman who looked in her twenties walked over to me and looked up at me. She was staring in my eyes and was not moving at all. It was like she saw me as a celebrity. I snapped my fingers in her face she woke up from her trance.

"Oh I'm so sorry, what can I get you?" The woman asked as she took out her notepad.

I looked at her hands and they were shaking.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine." The woman replied.

Her hands suddenly stopped shaking. I looked down at the menu and looked for a drink.

I saw the alcoholic beverages and I moved down to the bottom and saw delicious non-alcoholic beverages such as banana mango smoothies, pineapple iced tea, and strawberry punch. I wanted a smoothie so I ordered a banana mango smoothie.

"I'll take one banana mango smoothie." I said.

"OK." The woman said.

She walked away and went to get the smoothie. After she left, Rebecca saw me and walked over to me. She gave me a hug, and I did not even notice the waiter coming over to give me the drink.

"Hey, do you want to go surfing?" Rebecca asked.

"Sure." I replied.

We walked off and headed toward the water. I took off my shirt and threw it onto the sand and she handed me the surfboard and we raced into the water. We swam out and we raced to the shore to see who was faster. I won because I was more athletic.

"You just won because I let you win." Rebecca said.

"Yeah right." I said.

We laughed and did it again until we were tired.
