Angelo's POV
Five years. Five f*cking years! D*mn. Ang daming taon ang nasayang. Ang daming panahon na dapat kaming magkakasama ng pamilya ko. Pero wala. All because of a d*mn war.
Was I wrong all along? Mali bang nagmahal ako? Mali bang minahal ko ng sobra sobra ang bestfriend ko? I can't help but blame myself more than I blame Christian. If I didn't fall in love... If I didn't do all the things I did for the past 12 years... would there be no war? Would I be happy?
12 years. From an 18 year old kid to a 30 year old grown man. A father and a husband. I would have been happy. If not for the situation.
"Dad... please open the door." Napalingon ako sa pinto ng kumatok si Thanacia. She still acts like her six year old self except her intelligence of course. Her IQ is still above average.
"Come in. Its not locked." Narinig kong umikot yung handle ng pinto at ang mga yapak niya.
"Dad... are you okay? You look tired." Nginitian ko lang siya ng mapait. She looks like her mom. I bet her brother is as handsome as me. The thought of it makes me laugh.
Paminsan minsan nagrereport si Dez at nalalaman namin ang lagay nila doon. Poor Cyan Hyung frozen. Tsk. I hope he's fine now tho.
"I'm fine. Its just... thinking about your mom is exhausting. I'm worried sick." I wanted to tell her about her brother but its not the right time. Even the other kids don't know about Deizmond. Not even Jianne. Kahit na nasasaktan siya, we wouldn't want to spoil Dez's cover. And the kids charging off to the enemy grounds is also unwanted.
"Dad. You need to rest. Mom and Ares will be fine-" Wait what!?
"H-how!?"
"Dad... lets just say my cousins and i have great talents. Bye!" I'm such a useless father. D*mn.
