Jimin's P.O.V
I was at such a rush that I didn't notice the little girl sitting next to me in the taxi. She was the one who fell last time, the one who I gave my candies to.
"Wait what are you doing in here?" I asked.
"Ahjussi, did your wish make you happy?" she asked.
"What do you mean?"
"You wanted Y/N to stay so I made it so that she could stay. You also wanted your first love back so I sent Su Hae your way," she said.
"Wait that was all you? That's not possible," I said.
"Right now the driver can't see me. He thinks you're talking to yourself. Is that possible?" she asked.
I looked up and the driver was looking at me with a strange face.
"Hyung, you can't see this little girl?" I asked.
He moved around in his seat uncomfortably.
"No sir," he replied in a scared tone.
"See I told you," she said.
"Then how come I can see you? What are you?" I asked, unconcerned about the driver.
"I'm not a ghost if that's what you're thinking. Maybe more like a fairy," she said.
"Why are you here?" I asked.
"My idiot little brother granted a wish to that girl you call Y/N. He stupidly gave her the body of an existing girl, putting two lives at stake. I told him to fix it so he brought her soul back to her body in America and returned Su Hae's soul to her own body," she said.
"What are you talking about?" I asked, confused.
"Y/N is the same girl you fell in love with four years ago and the same girl your heart is yearning for you idiot," she said.
"This kid is so rude. And why would you tell me this now? What proof do you have?" I asked.
"None. I usually don't meddle in human lives but I guess I'm an idiot like my little brother after all," she said.
I laughed.
"This is a prank right? You're in on this too right?" I said, asking the driver.
He looked at me from the mirror and started cursing under his breath.
"Ahjussi, it's not a lie or a prank," said a boy's voice.
I turned back to look at the little girl who was now sitting next to a little boy with a red shirt.
"I'm the one who made a mistake. Y/N-shi was so nice to me that I didn't think before granting her wish," he said.
"So it's all true?"
I was puzzled and in disbelief.
"Why don't you just let Y/N go back. Don't try to stop her," said the boy.
"You should know wishes don't stay forever because you can't completely change people's lives. Eventually Y/N will have to go back to America because of the balance of things. It's what is normal and her leaving America will change other people's outcomes. Think about her family and friends. Her job. Are you really sure she should sacrifice it all for you?" asked the little girl.
I guess there are people who can grant wishes.
"My idiot brother here granted the wish and almost destroyed the balance of things. She left you but somehow came back to you. Maybe that's why I'm here. I believe in fate. Don't you think it's odd that you both can see us?" she said.
"I want her to stay with me. I'll do anything to keep her by my side. I'll take responsibility of her life back on America," I said.
"And how are you going to do that?" asked the boy.
"My love for her runs deep. Even though I made mistakes and hurt her, she was always the one my heart yearned for. I fell in love with her twice. I know what I want to do," I said determined.
"Then good luck ahjussi. We'll be looking forward to seeing what you do," said the little girl.
And with that, they both disappeared.
Y/N's P.O.V
"Miss we're stuck in traffic. Will you be late to your flight?" asked the driver.
"Traffic at 4am?" I asked.
"Ye. I'm surprised too but I guess there's a lot of busy people right now," he replied.
"It's okay. I'm sure we'll be okay," I said smiling.
"Can I ask where you're going miss?"
"Home," I replied.
"Ahh so you're not from here," he said.
"No I'm not," I said with a slight smile.
"Did you know you switch between a Seoul and Busan dialect? My girlfriend was born in Busan so I know," he said.
"Oh really? I hadn't even noticed," I said with a small laugh.
"When my girlfriend and I met, it felt like fate. Do you believe in fate?" he asked.
"I do. Especially in love," I said.
"Do you have a loved one too?" he asked.
"Unrequited love but yes I have someone I love if that counts," I said.
"Ahh it does count. Love is never over and you never know, maybe he might actually start to like you too. Love has a funny way of working," he said.
"Now if we're able to move from this traffic in the next minute or two then maybe my love will be returned to me," I said jokingly.
"Oh will you look at that, we're able to move again now," he said laughing.
"Oh maybe I should be happy then," I said.
"Yes you should," he said as he continued driving.
I smiled and looked out the window. Love is not over huh. BTS, you're just everywhere I go aren't you? Will I ever be able to forget?
