Mr. and Mrs. Park had made plans for us all to go to Haeding Tonggung Temple today. I was excited ever since Mrs. Park told me about it on my first week in Busan. We never had the chance to go before but today was my lucky day! We woke up earlier than usual to prepare for the drive there. I walked outside and opened the car door.
"Go to the other side," said Jihyun.
"Just scoot down," I stated.
"I like my window seat," he said as he closed his eyes and stayed there.
"Aish really?" I said as I closed the door and went to the other side.
As I was getting inside, Jimin came behind and pushed me in with his hips.
"Ah! Yahh!" I shouted.
He had his dark sunglasses on and distorted his face in disgust. He covered his ear with one hand and sat down.
"I wanted the window seat," I said pouting.
"It's too early for you," he said as he closed the door and leaned on the window.
Aggh! These two brothers, I thought as I looked at them back and forth. Stuck in the middle I guess, but I really wanted to sight see through the window.
I guess I'll just have to lean closer to someone, I thought.
After everyone settled in, Mr. park started the road trip there. It wasn't really one but car rides were always nice. I looked at Jimin then Jihyun and decided it was easier to argue with the younger brother so I started to lean in closer to Jihyun's side to gaze out the window. I pulled my hair back behind my ear and tried my best to keep a distance. Jihyun was sleeping so soundly but the view outside was nice. I leaned in closer to try and see better but as I tried to do so, a hand grabbed at my shoulder and pulled me back. As I was repositioned straight again, he then took his right palm and cupped the right side of my face, pulling my head down to his shoulders.
"Just sleep. There's nothing that interesting to look at until we get there," he said in a raspy voice.
Mrs. Park looked back at us through the mirror. I felt embarrassed and slowly removed my head from his shoulders but as if he anticipated me doing so, his palm pushed my head back sideways.
"Sleep," he said simply.
Seeing his parents eyes on us, my face turned red and I quickly closed my eyes, pretending to sleep.
I woke up when I felt the car turn into a stop. My head pulled forward due to gravity as I opened my eyes.
"Aish, Y/N how old are you to be drooling?" Jimin said while wiping his right shoulder with a napkin.
"Opps hehe I must've slept better than I thought," I said quietly chuckling awkwardly to myself.
"We're here!" said Mr. Park.
"Jihyun-ah wake up," I said excitedly while poking his face.
Jimin puts on his hat and mask and opened the door.
"Here," he said as he held out his hand to me.
Surprised by his random acts of kindness I stretched out my hand and he pulled me out.
"Y-yah!"
He laughed hysterically to himself while holding onto his stomach with both hands.
I gave him a stink face and cleared my throat.
"Jimin has the mental age of a five year old," I said quietly to myself with the intent that he would hear me.
"What? That's what I said to you," he stated.
