Armin remained by both Eren's and (y/n)'s bed side, anxiously awaiting their eyes to open. He sat in the room for what felt like centuries to which nothing happened. His eyes grew heavy as the lack of sleep weighed down on them. He leaned his cheek into the palm of his hand. Just as he began to close his eyes, he heard some ruffling of the sheets.
His tired feeling vanished and his eyes shot up like fireworks. Who was awake? Eren? (Y/n)? He quickly looked back and forth between the two for the movement. The moving of the covers was coming from Eren's bed.
Finally! Armin thought with joy, a smile spreading across his face. He's finally awake!
He stood up from the chair he sat in and rushed over to Eren's bedside. Eren's eyes were half open and seemed almost lifeless as they weren't their normal bright turquoise, but a grim teal. His hair was a mess, covered in tangles that needed to be removed. His breathing was shallow, but it was understandable considering that he survived a situation where he should've died.

Eren's POV
Everything was so... white. There was nothing, just a bright white everywhere. I tried to take a breath, but as the air filled my lungs, pain took their place. It was like someone was stabbing a knife into my ribs. I wanted to groan the pain away, but I found myself too weak to do anything.
The world around me slowly began to show other color and everything came into focus. I was in a small room. I can faintly hear a couple of beeping sounds at a steady rate. It sounds kind of like... a heart monitor?
I could tell that my eyes were closed half way as the entire top-half of my vision was black. Am I in a hospital? That would explain the heart monitor and why I'm in a bed, but why am I here though? I don't remember much, and everything I can remember is just a blur.
"Eren? Can you hear me?" A familiar voice faded in from the silence of which I was in. I know who that voice belongs to... I can picture them... But what's their name?
My eyes landed on a familiar face, one with freckles and blonde hair. He also had bright blue eyes and a relieved smile. Who was he?
"Can you hear me?" He repeated. I opened my mouth to speak and nothing would come out. I just have up on speaking and nodded my head with ease.
"That's good. You can move your neck pretty well." He went to the end of the bed and pulled out a clipboard to write a few things down. "Do you remember your name?"
My name? Oh yeah... I can't really remember. But he just said it, didn't he? I turned my head to look around the room a little more. When I turned my head left, I saw that I wasn't the only patient in the room.
There was a woman, young and what looked liked burned. She had (h/c) hair that was slightly darkened on the tips and a patch over her right eye. She was also wearing an oxygen mask over her mouth. The woman was gently asleep. I don't know why, but she really seems familiar to me.
"Can you remember your name?" The blonde haired person asked again. I turned my focus back to them and tried to speak again. I had a feeling that he was going to try and make me talk at one point or another.
"Not... Really..." I barely managed to push the words out. My ribs and stomach were killing me, but what I really want to know is why!
"Y-You can't remember?" The freckled faced person stuttered with surprise.
"Yeah..." I tried to take a deep breath to talk a little more and felt a sharp pain shoot through my torso. I groaned the second I felt it and tried to lean forward, but I was stopped by some restraints attached to my bed. My eyes flew open the rest of the way and I felt fully awake.
