Chapter 34

I woke up laying on Daniel's lap, I sat up and began to try to wake him up.

"I have to go get my car!" I told him.

"Mmm" he groaned "okay"

He rubbed his eyes and looked at me "ready?"

"Yes! I need to go change and shower, my god I'm going to be late"

"You won't be" Daniel tells me.

He went as fast as he could to go get my car. I got in my car, went home, showered and changed and went to school.

"You didn't come home last night" Kate whispered as we were at my mom's.

"Nothing happened Kate, we just talked"

"That's it?" She asked me.

"Yes!" I rolled my eyes.

"So what did you guys do last night?" My mom asked me.

"Um we just stood home and watch movies"

"That's it?" She asked me.

"Yeah mom" I sighed "I didn't feel like going out"

"What did you dress up as Em?" I looked at my little sister.

"Alice in wonderland!"

"Ooh! I bet you looked beautiful"

My mom showed me some photos "oh Em baby, you look beautiful. I'm sorry I missed it"

"It's okay Lacey"

I smiled at my princess "well I have some homework so we should go"

We went home to work on an essay "so you hooked up with someone last night?" I asked Kate.

"Of course" she smirked proudly.

I laughed and threw a pillow at her "you are bad Kate!"

"The baddest, how's the essay coming?"

"It's coming" I nodded.

My phone began to rang so I picked it up "Hello?"

"Hey Lacey"

"Hey Daniel"

That's when Kate threw a pillow back at me "what are you up to?" He asked me.

"Working on an essay for class, you?"

"At the office"

"And you're bored?" I asked him.

"Pretty much, would I see you later at the gym?" He asked me.

"Maybe" I smiled.

"Well I hope I do, good luck with the essay"

"Thanks"

I hung up and finished the essay. My mom and Emma stopped by as I went to change.

"Sweetie where are you going?"

"I'm going to the gym" once I saw that I could see Kate smiling at me.

"Lacey, I don't want you working out too much"

"I'm not mom, I promise" I kissed her then Emma.

I walked over to the gym and walked over to a machine and began to work out. I was jamming out to Eminem until one of my headphones came out of my ear.

"Hey!" I looked and it was Daniel "Hey Daniel"

"You came!"

"Couldn't miss a good workout"

"And me" he smiled.

"Whatever, I didn't come for you"

"Sure you didn't princess" he smirked as he worked out next to me showing his abs.

This guy is going to be the death of me. The music stopped and it showed Harry was calling me. I took off my headphones and unplugged them. I stopped and answered.

"Haz?"

"Hey Lace"

I sat down and I know it's just a phone call but I felt my whole world just stop for a second once I heard his voice.

"Hi" I mumbled.

"Um my graduation is coming up"

"You made it through?" I asked him stupidly.

He chuckled "yeah, I'm sorry for what happened"

"No, I get why you did what you did... You were saying"

"Oh um my graduation is coming up and I was wondering if you would like to come"

"Harry" I looked up at Daniel who looked at me "I don't think it would good for us" I told him "I know you want me there as a friend but it will be hard for me to see you for a week then just leave"

"I'm coming home"

"What?"

"I'm coming home for a week" he tells me.

"I can't do this Harry, I'm sorry... You broke up with me remember?"

"I know, I know but I would like to see you Lacey. We've been through so much shit together"

"I don't know... I've been um"

"You're dating?" He asked me.

"Not really but I'm kind of seeing someone" I kind of lied thinking about Daniel.

"That's great Lace, um I'm happy for you"

"If you want, you can come and visit me" I sighed telling him "I would like to see you in your solider gear" I smiled.

"Um then I'll guess I'll book a flight then, are you sure you're okay with me coming?"

"Yeah, I mean we're friends..."

"Yeah well I'll see you Lacey... I lov... Bye"

I hung up, he almost said he love me. Did I make a good decision?

"You okay?" Daniel asked me.

"Um I don't know, want to go for a walk?" I asked him.

"Yeah sure"

He nodded as we walked out of the gym "um my ex is going to come to visit" I tell him "he just graduated and he wants to see me and I don't know if I made the right decision..."

"Do you still love him?"

"I don't know, I haven't seen him in like weeks" I tell Daniel "I want to see him but then again I don't and I kind of told him I'm seeing someone" I looked at Daniel.

"Were you talking about me?" He asked.

"Yeah" I said shyly.

He smiled "I don't mind being your fake boyfriend if that's what you want"

"I don't but um" I didn't know what to say.

"I can be there for you if that's what you want" he grabs my hand and I sighed at his touch.

"Will you?" I asked him.

"Of course, but I have a few requests"

"Oh god what is it?" I asked him as I pulled my hand away.

"Well I get to kiss you whenever I please and I take you out on a date, a real date, what do you say?"

"Fine" I smiled at him "I should head home but thank you for this"

"Of course"

I went back home, showered then ate dinner with Kate while watching reality TV.
