Chapter 37

"Em, Harry's going to be there at the trial"

"Does Daniel know?" She asked me.

"No but I still tell him okay?"

"Okay"

We were on the plane as I rocked Elizabeth back and forward so she can sleep. Once we landed, we looked for John.

"Em stay close"

"I know Lacey" she rolled her eyes.

"Hey, I just don't want you going missing okay?

"I know Lacey, but you treat me like a baby"

"Because to me you still are a baby, I basically raised you Emma and I'm sorry but I'm used to telling you what to do but you're 15 so I'm pretty you know a few things by now"

"I will always be your baby sister Lace"

"Thanks baby" I smiled.

"Look it's Cousin John!" Emma let go of my hand as she ran to John.

I laughed as I walked over to John "Hey there she is" John hugged me "oh my god is this Elizabeth?"

"Yeah" I handed her to him.

"She's beautiful Lacey"

I put her back in her car seat as we got in John's car "um I have to tell you that um Harry's at the house"

"Oh my god! Is your dad trying to kill me?" I asked him.

"Well Harry just got here yesterday so my dad wanted to talk to him about the army and stuff"

"Oh"

"I heard he was suppose to go off to war but he broke his leg so he couldn't"

"Is he okay?" I asked John.

"Yeah now he's fine"

We walked through the front door "Dad's Lacey's here!" John announced.

Uncle Anthony and Aunt Lily came out of the kitchen and Harry was behind them. Uncle Anthony hugged Emma then me "Where is my niece?!"

I put Elizabeth car seat down on the couch as I took out Liz "Liz I want you to meet my Uncle Anthony"

"Oh baby, she's absolutely gorgeous"

"Thank you Uncle Anthony"

"Harry!" Emma ran to Harry as I walked over.

"Hey kiddo! Look how big you've gotten!"

"Hi" he looked up at me "wow Lacey... You look beautiful"

I smiled "you don't look so bad yourself" I hugged him.

Was it weird that I felt like I can finally breath once I saw him? Yeah that's probably weird.

"So is that your daughter?" He asked me.

"Oh yeah, that's Elizabeth"

"Can I?"

"Yeah" I nodded and handed Lizzy over to Harry "Harry meet Lizzy"

He sat down and rocked her back and forth "she looks so much like you Lacey"

"You think so?" I asked him.

"She has your beautiful brown eyes"

I smiled then she began to cry "oh it's okay princess, it's okay. I'm going to go feed her"

I went downstairs with her as Emma brought our stuff down to our old room.

"It looks the same" Emma tells me.

"Yeah it does" I gave Elizabeth her bottle.

"How was it seeing him again?" Emma asked me.

"I don't know... It felt nice I guess. Can you get me a water bottle Em?"

"Sure"

I set up everything I needed for Elizabeth as I set her down in her bed so she can nap. Emma came down "thanks Em"

She nodded as I took a sip, I heard footsteps and it was Harry "Hey"

"Hey"

"Is she sleeping?"

"Hmm" I nodded and Emma went upstairs "How are you?" I asked him.

"Good good, crazy stuff with your dad huh?"

"Yeah, I hope they don't let him out"

"Me too, I swear Lacey if I see him again..."

"Haz" I put my hand on his arm for a second then took it off "I know" I said simply "fuck! I forgot to call Daniel"

I stood up and called him as I stared at Liz.

"Hey babe, I got worried for a second" he tells me.

"Oh I'm so sorry babe, I got here then began to catch up with the family... I miss you wish you here"

"I wanted to come but you said no, remember mom?"

I laughed "because you need to work" I smiled.

"But my family is more important"

"I know it is Danny, I know it is. Lizzy's sleeping right now"

"How was she on the flight?"

"A bit fuzzy but she was okay, you know she's a good girl"

"Yeah, I miss you already"

"You're working?" I asked him.

"Yeah, are you alone?" He asked me.

"Danny!"

"What?!"

"I can't with you sometimes" I laughed "I think I'm going to go take a nap, okay?"

"Okay, call me when you go to sleep or I'll just call you later"

"I will, love you babe"

"I love you too baby"

I hung up and laid down in bed. Harry wasn't on the couch so he must of went upstairs while I was talking to Daniel. I sighed and fell asleep.
