Chapter 4

*Lacey's POV*

Three weeks passed since Harry and I last spoke. I catch him looking at me sometimes, we made eye contact when we pass each other in the hallway, it's just weird.

I ran into school and went straight to Kate's locker which is in the same hallway as Harry's.

"Kate! Guess what?!"

"What?" She laughed "how are you so happy in seven in the morning?"

"Cause your girl got her license, that's why!"

"Get out!!"

I took out my license and showed her, she screamed then I screamed and we just hugged.

"Oh my god!!" She jumped "did you drive to school?"

"Hell yeah!" I smiled as I saw Harry walking towards us.

"Hey um Mr. Bennett said to keep it down" he looks at me.

"Sorry" I apologized.

"This is so weird" Kate says out loud.

"Kate..."

"No! You can't do this to her Harry!"

"Do what?" Harry asked.

"Talk to her for two days and make it seem like you want to be in her life then don't talk to her for three weeks!"

"I'm going to class" I mumbled as I took my license and went to class.

"Why were you screaming?" Harry asked me in class.

"There's a sale today in the mall"

"Really?" He smiled.

"No" I glared at him and his smile faded.

"Lacey" he sighs.

"I'm sorry are you actually talking to little old me?" I asked him.

After that I ignored him "Hey Lacey, do you have the math homework?"

I laughed "yeah Bryan, here" I handed him my homework in lunch "make sure you return it and I'm not sure if it's right"

"I'll take it, thanks" I smiled as he walked away.

"I can't believe you got your license!" Kate looked at my license again.

"Best believe it! I'll be right back"

I put my license in my wallet then put my wallet in my bag. I got up and went to the bathroom. I came out and saw John.

"You're at high school then all of sudden you don't know nobody"

He laughed and hugged me "how are you Lacey?"

"Good, your dad told you right?"

"Yup, congratulations"

"Thanks, whenever you want a ride or want to go somewhere, let me know" I told my cousin.

"I will, how's things with Harry?"

"I don't know if I even like him anymore, he's not the guy I thought he was" I gave him a slight smile.

"I'm sorry Lacey"

I shrugged, I turned and bumped into of course Harry.

"Are we going to keep meeting like this?" He smiled at me.

"You just think you're funny don't you?" I asked him.

"Lacey, come on"

"Don't tell me to come on! How can you come to my house and say you aren't like those guys, stay over then leave and act like you don't even know me?" I asked him.

"I had to think things out"

"What things?"

"The cheerleader" he smirked.

God that smirk is slowly killing me inside "what do you mean?"

"We're done" he tells me.

"Well good for you" I'm so good at acting like I don't care

"So you don't care?" He looked at me.

"Could careless, I have to go before Kate sends out a missing person alert" I walked passed him and basically ran to Kate "he broke up with her!"

"Wait! What?"

"Harry broke up with the slut!"

"You have a chance!"

"Ugh I'm so happy right now" I smiled.

After school, I went to my locker to get my stuff "rumor has it you got your license" Harry said to me.

"The only people who knows is Kate so how do you know?"

"I know people" he leaned again the locker next to mine.

"And? You want an award?" I asked him as I rolled my eyes.

"Yes I do" he crossed my arms.

"Well you should go talk to a teacher" I tell him.

"Give me a chance Lacey" I looked at him.

"What?" I looked at him with disbelief.

"Give me a chance" he looked at me seriously.

"Harry, you better not be fucking with me okay?! I don't play games, if you're going to be in my life, you have to be real with me"

"And I will be"

"Give you a chance for what?"

"To be in your life" he tells me.

"I have to go pick up Emma" I locked my locker and got in my car and drove away.

"Lacey, are you okay?" Emma asked me as I ran my hands through her hair.

"Yeah baby, just thinking"
