Chapter 28

"Can you please take me to see Emma?" I asked Harry "she should be in school"

"Are you sure?"

"Please and I need to go home and pack"

"Lacey babe are you sure about this?" Harry asked me.

"Babe please try and understand, I need to do this"

He sighed and hugged me "I do beautiful, I do"

I went to the house to gather my things then Harry drove me to Emma's school. It was lunch time when I got out of the car and spotted my baby.

"Em!"

"Lacey!" She ran into my arms.

"Oh princess I need to talk to you"

"What is it?"

A teacher came up to me "I'm just talking to my sister, I won't be long"

She nodded and walked away "I'm going away for a little bit"

"Why?"

"Sweetie you need to trust me okay? I spoke to dad last night and he told me something that I want to tell you but you need it keep it a secret. You can't tell anyone and I mean anyone"

"You can tell me sissy"

"This is a big Em"

The bell rang and I hugged Emma one more time before I left "promise me you'll check up on her"

"I promise"

Harry drove me to the airport, I wrapped my arm around him "I'll call you as soon as I land okay?"

"I love you"

"I love you more" I kissed his cheek as I walked away.

I looked back and waved as I got onto the plane.

Once I got into my hotel room, I called Harry.

"You landed?"

"Yeah I'm in my hotel room, I wish you would of came"

"Me too princess, I love you"

"I love you too and give me some time with my uncle okay? I will tell him but I'm I don't think he's ready for it"

"Okay but I don't want to get on his bad side"

"Just tell him that I will call him when I can and I'm okay"

"I will okay?"

"I'm scared Haz"

"I know you babe"

I hung up and went to take a shower then I went to change and walked around.

My uncle called me "Lacey where the hell are you?"

"Uncle Anthony, I'm sorry okay? But I'm not ready to tell you... Please just try to understand, I will call you when I can plus just take care of Em for me. I'm sorry"

"Come home"

"I can't, I'm sorry"

I hung up on my uncle and cried. I got into the bathtub and wrapped my arms around my knees as I let to music play softly. I got out and got into bed.

*Harry's POV*

"Where the hell is she Harry?"

"She's okay Anthony, this is just bigger. She will tell you when she's ready"

"Tell me what?"

"I'm sorry" I left and called Lacey on the way home "he misses you and he's worried"

"I know he is but he needs to give me time and space" She told me.

"You spoke to Kate?"

"Yeah we spoke after I landed"

"How are you?"

"I just feel so alone Haz... I thought this was going to be something big for me but now I don't know"

"It's going to take time Lace, you knew that when you left"

"I know but" she sighed "I think I'm going to get a job and maybe my GED while I'm here"

"Are you not coming back babe?"

"You said this is going to take sometime and I need time. I need to be here Haz"

"I leave in August, will you be back by then?!" I asked her.

"I don't know Harry, please don't fight with me... You're the only person I have right now"

"I have to go Lace, I'm sorry"

I hanged up and sighed as I got him. We have a few weeks left and now she might now come back.
