*Toby's POV*

Spencer glares at me as I take a seat at the table meant for her and her boyfriend, John I think his name is. I took the seat beside Spencer on purpose. She should know I never let a girl away once I've kissed them.

"Yvonne, take a seat" I encourage her. She was just standing awkwardly at the end of the table. She hesitates before taking a seat and introducing herself.

"I'm Yvonne" she smiles, shaking John's hand. Just the way he shakes someone's hand is annoying.

"Oh yeah, Yvonne this is Spencer and John" I smile. Spencer seems to scowl at me but I didn't do anything wrong.

"Jonny" he politely corrects. Why does he have to be so nice?

"Oh, Jonny" I correct myself. Oops.

The waiter then comes over to our table so Yvonne and I can order our drinks.

"Of course," Spencer mumbles under her breath after I order my usual beverage.

"What?" I ask, a grin slowly growing onto my face.

"It's just because you always used to order the same drink that's all," she explains. "You never get anything different,"

"You remember?" I laugh. The fact she remember what I drink on a night out doesn't surprise me to be honest.

"Yeah! We used to go to parties all the time," she giggles.

"But you would never drink because you had to wait till it was legal" I mock. She nudges me with her elbow. We both burst into laughter.

"Shut up! You would only have one drink because your mom would kill you if you got drunk," she shrieks, trying to defend herself.

"At least I tried some alcohol before I turned twenty one," I laugh, still teasing her.

"Shut up," she mumbles. I look across the table to see Jonny and Yvonne staring at us.

"Did you two go to school together?" Jonny asks. Spencer tenses beside me so I quickly answer him.

"Yeah, in the same class" I answer. Spencer eases a little with my short answer. I know she doesn't want Jonathan, or whatever his name is, to find out that we used to date but I think it would be quite funny to see his reaction.

"Oh, so you were friends?" He asks, more to Spencer than me. If he won't stop pin pointing her I might pinch him from across the table.

"Yes, now are we here to have dinner? Or just watch the show?" I ask firmly, hoping he gets the point to stop asking questions.

"Let's watch the show," Yvonne says after a few minutes of awkward silence. Spencer keeps taking deep breathes and I know she thinks Jonny knows about our past but he can't say anything if I'm right beside her.

The night continues and band after band go up to perform. We have all had more drinks that I can count by the time ten o'clock comes and I can say that we are all a little bit tipsy.

Since I warned Jonny to stop with the questions about Spencer and I's past we have gotten on well. Jonny has been talking to Yvonne more than I have and we have moved from our small table at the front door to the bar, right beside the dance floor.

Yvonne and I are sitting on the bar stools while Spencer and Jonny stand beside us. The room is pretty dark. The only light being the colourful spots that are shining onto the dance floor and the small lamps behind the bar.

I haven't once seen my mom and dad which has been nice. Although I have seen my step-sister Jenna walking around a couple of times but I have avoided her at all costs.

"Look at that old woman trying to dance," Spencer laughs pointing her hand, that is holding a glass of wine, to the dance floor.

"She looks even more drunk that me," I chuckle, taking another sip of cider. After we moved down to the bar Spencer dared me to try a new drink since I've been drinking the same beer since high school. She gave me some apple cider and I have been drinking it ever since. I won't admit it to her face but I'm really enjoying it.

"That's true," she smiles, looking into my eyes. Her eyes are so captivating. You are automatically lost in her beautiful features when you look at her.

It's not till now that I realise she is standing very close to me. I might be the fact that it is really cramped on here or that the music is to loud. I am sitting with my back against the bar and my legs open with Spencer in between them.

"We should dance," I blurt, out of no where. I'm a terrible dancer and I hate dancing in front of people. I got so magnetised by her that the only thing that could get me closer to her was to dance.

"We should!" She squeals, getting excited. I know she loves to dance but I don't.

She can see the uncertainty in my eyes when she encourages me to stand up.

"It will be fun, and if you don't want to stay up there then we can come back" Spencer says, taking my hand and gently strokes her thumb along my palm.

"Okay," I sigh, getting up from my seat. "But only one song,"
