Today has gone by really fast. All because I am dreading going home to my brother. I will just have to ignore his annoying questions. I didn't pay attention in all of my classes, because my phone was blowing up with texts from Caleb. By the end of my last class, I got so frustrated at Caleb that I just blocked his number. It was for the better. Now I have ammunition to use against him, whenever my parents complain about my grades.
Now, I stand next to Christina while we wait for Four and Eric to come in. The day that I rush to get changed, is the day that Four and Eric are late.
"Four just be a man and get over it." Eric's voice gets my attention as he rushes in five minutes late. I turn my head over to the door to see Four rush in.
"Looking at something Tris." Eric's slick voice mutters in my ear. I forgot about him for a split second, and how he hates my guts.
I spin my head back around to the front. Eric's head is right next to my head, and I can feel his hot breath on my ear. "Nope." I pop the p just to tick him off.
"Good." He mutters in my ear. Eric reminds me of the super villain in all the movies and cartoons I watched when I was little. He turns around and walks to face the front of the group. Not many kids showed up today, because yesterday we were told that we would have to fight each other. I personally thought it was a joke. I'm starting to think that it is not after all.
"Alright, those who showed up today are obviously committed." Four says. I look over to him and see that he is staring right back at me. 'Yes, I understand that Eric is being a jerk to me. You staring at me is going to make it worse.' I look away before Eric notices.
"I have paired up all of you guys with an opponent. Four get the place ready for fighting. We also do not have enough fighting gloves for everyone, so this will be bare knuckle. If any off you go tell anyone, we will have a problem." Eric says and then points at Four. I watch him go and take out a few mops and some tape. "Christina and Molly, Peter and Tris, Uriah and Zeke, Al and Drew." Eric starts to read the list of people. Did I hear him say that Uriah and Zeke have to fight each other? That is not right. "First I want Tris and Peter to go." I see the kid I am supposed to fight step forward. He is twice the size as me.
"What's the matter stiff? You have never punched anything before? Well, it is too late to back out now." He taunts me. Now I have to deal with another jerk.
"Stiff?" I ask Christina, who is still next to me.
"It is a person who came from a family with different values than Dauntless values." She whispers.
Eric steps forward and grabs my shoulder and pushes me into the ring that Four made on the floor with tape. "Go!" Eric shouts.
I bring my hands up to my face and I wait for Peter to punch me. "Come on stiff, hit me first." He shouts at me.
"What if I say no?" I ask. That was probably not a good idea. I catch Four in the corner of my eye looking away from the fight,
Peter comes forward and punches me in the stomach with his fist. I ignore the pain, and throw my fist forward. Peter catches it with his hand, holding my fist away from my face. This opens up my face, for Peter to hit it.
Before Peter can hit my face, I throw my leg at his knee, but he steps out of the way. He takes my hand, and twists it. I can feel the tension in my arm and I can't really do anything. I cry out, but nothing stops. Does Eric want this to be a fight to the death?
Peter twists my arm harder, until I feel the bone crack. I cry out again, but this time I really need the fight to stop. I have a broken arm now. Peter lets go of my arm and throws hist fist right into my face. I start to lose my balance and I fall onto the ground. Peter comes forward and starts kicking my side over and over again. I just curl up into a ball and wait for it all to be over.
"What is going on here?" I hear a familiar voice enter the room. "I'm going to go get the principal." That sounds like Caleb. Peter stops kicking me, and I look up to try and see if it is Caleb. It is hard, because my vision is going black on the edges, but I still try.
"No you will not. I'll will make sure your family, and every one you know will not make it to see another day." Eric threatens Caleb.
"Tris is that you?" Caleb asks. "I swear I will find a way to make sure you rott in a jail cell,"
"Oh so Tris? You know this guy?" Eric asks as he walks closer to me.
"Uhh, No. No I do not." I lie. I think that Eric can hear the lies in my voice.
"If you so much as say the work fight, this will happen." Eric kicks me as hard as he can right into my broken arm. I scream into the floor. "Although next time, it will be ten times worse and effect your family too." I keep my head on the floor.
"Eric, you need to stop. Your digging yourself a hole." I hear Four's soft voice try and talk Eric down.
"FINE! Everyone get out!" He screams. I hear everyone rush out of the room. "Wait, someone come get her to the hospital or something." Eric refers to me.
"No, I'm fine." I bring myself up to a sitting position with my non-broke hand. I try to push my self up into a standing position, but my vision goes black and I feel my body hit the floor. I start to hear Four talking, but I am too far gone into the spiraling abyss of pain.

Another update, because I am going to be gone for a while.
