Friday night ended with all of us watching another movie up in the movie room. We all then fell asleep on various couches in Zeke's enormous house. I picked a simple leather couch by the front door. I have no idea where everyone else is. This house is so big, that you can get lost.
"Tris!" I hear someone shout.
I turn and mumble into my pillow. I would one day just want to sleep without anyone interrupting me. "What?"
"There are pancakes in the kitchen." The voice sounds closer now. I look up to see Tobias standing over me. I let a long groan into the pillow and just lay there. Hopefully he will go away and let me sleep. "Nope, you don't get to sleep anymore." He says.
"But Why?" I ask him.
"Because these pancakes were actually cooked by Zeke and Uriah. Normally their butler does it. You have to be nice and get in there to eat those pancakes." He whispers. I'm mostly caught up on the fact that they have a butler.
"Well, I hate breakfast. I don't eat it." I complain to him.
"Let's go. I'm not giving you a choice." He says. He reaches down and picks me up. He slings me over his shoulder and I don't get much of a choice. I start to kick, but he holds me tighter. I just stay there hanging off of his back.
We walk into the kitchen and I am greeted by my friends. "Ohhhh Tris!!! Looks like your in trouble." Christina exaggerates.
"Well, I prefer sleeping." I mutter. Tobias lets me down and I glare at him. He just gives me one of his five star smiles .
"Tris is not a morning person." He says to the group. I looks over at Christina, to see if I can sit by her. Unfortunately, that Will kid is sitting next to her. I walk over to sit across from them. Zeke brings me my plate of pancakes as soon as I take a seat.
"Thanks." I look over at Zeke and see that he is a mess. There is flour all over him. "Did you get attacked by the ginger bread man?" I ask him.
"Tris, just eat the pancakes." He says and walks away. Well, he is grumpy. I guess that makes two of us.
"Scoot over Tris." I look up to see Tobias standing there. I grab my plate and scoot over. I feel Tobias crash into the 50s style diner seats that we are sitting at. "Just eat the stuff. Zeke is just frustrated at the pancakes. They didn't work out to well. Just eat them." I take a bite of the slightly burnt pancakes.
"Yum." I mutter. The fact that I can just never sleep really makes me mad.
"Tris, really. Pull your head out of your butt, and just be nice okay. Zeke is already really ticked off." That Will kid says. I don't even know him, and he is already criticizing me.
I look at him with a mouth full off pancakes. "And who are you?"
"I'm Will, Christiana's friend." He retorts. I swallow the pancakes that were in my mouth.
"Mkay, and the best thing for you is to just not talk right now." I tell him and take another bite of pancakes. That earns me a glare from both him and Christina.
"Hey, Tris. It's really is okay. Just calm down please." Tobias grabs my shoulder, so I turn and give him another death glare.
Uriah bursts in. "Alright I have the coffee from the gas station a few miles down the road." I let my fork drop on the plate and I climb over Tobias to get out of the booth. I really need coffee.
"Oh Thank god!" I shout. "What time is it anyway." It just feels earlier than I am used to.
Uriah hands me a coffee. "It's six." He says.
