Tris POV:

I am Tris Prior, and that is who I have been this whole time. Eric and Jeanine has taken this from me. I look out the dirty car window to see Tobias filling up the tank. Uriah is dead asleep in the back seat. I don't need to look back there to know that. He has been snoring for the past hour.

"We are about five hours out." Tobias tells me as he opens up my door. "I need you to drive because I have been going for about 24 hours straight." He helps me out and takes my spot.

I get into the drivers side and look over at Tobias. I notice he is holding a grocery bag from the little store attached to the gas station. "What's that?"

He takes out a few bottled waters, and various snacks. There is one bottled water, a bag of chips, and a twinkie left in the bag. Tobias reaches to the back seat and places it next to Uriah.

I start the car and drive off. "Just staying on this road?" I ask.

"Well it is the only road around." Tobias chuckles until he sees my glare. "Yeah this road."

I sigh as I look at the flat fields and rolls of hay on the land next to the road. "It sure is a lot of nothing out here." I tell Tobias.

"Oh I know. It will be for a long time." He says as he leans against the window. "You know you scared me back there."

"How?" I question as we drive through a patch of bugs.

"Well, I was afraid you wouldn't come to. I knew you should because I saw the test results in Eric's briefcase." He pauses before he continues. "When you said they gave you a serum the day before. I knew it was because they were scared."

"Yeah I know. Well, I know now." I tell him.

"I was scared, but you were able to fight the serum." Tobias mumbles. He is drifting toward sleep.

"You fought it off too." I tell him.

"Eric was coming that day to my house. I bet he was gonna give me another dose of the serum. I wouldn't be able to fight that off. It took me, who knows how long to fight the first dose off."

"But that didn't happen Tobias." I start to get agitated with all the bugs on the windshield. "You weren't dealt those cards, because you were able to fight off the serum. You got a new hand Tobias, a new set of cards. You have to work with those. "

"I'm done folding." He continues with the poker analogy. "I'm done giving little bits of my money to the blinds. I'm gonna start betting now."

"Me too." I tell him. "There is nothing more we can do at this point."

Silence fills the car for about five minutes before I start talking again. "What do you think will happen to my real parents? You know my actual parents?"

The only thing that comes from Tobias is silence. He must have drifted off to sleep. I have no idea what will happen to them. I just hope they are okay.

-----Page Break-----

"This turn here?" I ask Tobias. "I don't know where to find him."

"I don't know either, but he does go to that school. That is all the briefcase said." Tobias tells me as I turn into the parking lot of a busy school.

"Can we actually pull this off?" Uriah asks from the backseat.

"We have to." I tell him as I put on the wig. I know we have been all over the radio and news recently because of our so called deaths back in Chicago. The last thing we need is more attention. I watch as Tobias changes into a I love to ski shirt we picked up at a gas station.
