"We don't live in a world where everything is happy. Why should I be anymore?"
When we reached a hotel in Columbus Charlie and I went right into the ballroom.
"Okay." She said.
"You ready?"
"Yep." I played the song and we started dancing. We evaluated each other's moves to decide which ones made the cut.
"Oh yeah. I think we have it." Charlie said and gave me a high five.
"Hopefully the ladies won't change it too much." I said.
"Yeah, you wanna talk?"
"About what?"
"Well. A lot of rumors have been going around about you and this girl."
"What girl?"
"Logan something." I chuckled.
"Logan's my buddy from the formation tour."
"You kissed her."
"With permission." I said. "I'm quite a few things but a cheater? No."
"Do you wanna do something crazy?"
"Define crazy.." I said looking at her skeptically. I blinked and we were in the bathroom. "Are you gonna tell me what we're doing?"
She smiled at me and braided her hair.
I blinked again and half of her hair was short. Then she cut the other half.
"Oh my god Charlie." I said.
"Crazy." She wiggled her eyebrows at me. I sighed and took the scissors. I cut the thread and I blinked.

"I love it." She smiled at me. "Can I?" I nodded with a chuckle. She ran her hands through my hair.
"Can I?" I mimicked her and she said yes. We stayed in the bathroom touching each other's hair laughing until we stopped.
We looked at each other and started leaning in. "We're gonna regret this." We both said at the same time and backed up.
"That was crazy." I said.
"Yeah, we just had a moment." We sat down on the bathroom floor.
"You have a kid."
"We both have girlfriends."
"You two have been together for years."
"We have to tell them."
"Obviously."
"And just because this happened doesn't mean we have feelings for each other."
"Right." Right?
"I think we should get some rest. And see if this is still a thing tomorrow. We tell him then when we're all together." She said and I nodded.
"Goodnight." We both said and she grabbed my hand. I walked her to her room and she kissed me on the cheek before going inside.
Charlie's pov
"How was the date?" Nicole asked without looking up from her phone.
"When are we gonna tell everyone?" I asked.
"You were fine with keeping quiet a week ago but now you found out about your crush on Sam you have to tell her that we broke up." I stayed quiet. "Charles she has a family. A real one. And Tana's the sweetest person ever. Sam doesn't need this to add on to the stressful things in her life."
"We almost kissed Nicky."
"You did what?" Teddy walked out of the bathroom with Mia.
"I- oh my god." I said.
"You.. wow." Teddy shook her head at me. "I've gotta go." She said. "Mia. Take me back?"
"Of course babe." Mia gave me a look before walking out with teddy.
"I need a hug." I said and my best friend wrapped her arms around me.
"I'm sorry Charlie."
Sam's pov Before other stuff ^
I walked in and Tana looked like she didn't recognize me for a few seconds.
"Hi." I said and smiled.
"Aw baby, I love it!" She gave me a hug.
"Charlie and I did something crazy which was a change in hair." I said.
"That's great."
"Yeah... um. Charlie and I. We had a bit of a moment."
"Define moment."
"Well. We were touching each other's hair and we stopped. We leaned in and then pulled away."
"How close did you get?" I couldn't read her expression. I pulled her to about half an arms length. "Oh. Well. That's not that bad."
I sighed in relief. "So you're not mad?"
"Nothing serious happened. You two stopped. What is there to be mad about?"
Thank god my girlfriend is so chill.
"You're the best. I better dump my side hoes cause you're wifey material."
"Psh. Side hoes?"
"What? I got hoes."
"Right."
"Shut up!" I said while laughing and she kissed me.
