CHAPTER 19 - Clemont's Aid and Defence
THIRD PERSON
"I've been waiting," Clemont joked
"Sorry, Master," a robotic voice responded.
"Well, it's a good thing you're here now. Let's get this goons out of our tower," the lemon-haired inventor smirked, "Clembot."
The Team Flare scientist and admin coughed and wheezed, releasing the smoke they had inhaled. They were both in plain sight to Clemont and Clembot, now that the smoke had cleared from the room, but some traces of misty, grey air lingered in the room that smelled of exhaust pipes.
"Why you little..." Trish cursed under her breath. On the other hand, Xerosic showed no signs of being surprise, as if he expected Clembot to make its mnhrappearance.
"Well done, boy. Quite impressive timing your little robot has there," the Flare scientist chuckled, aggravating Clemont in the process.
"He is not just a 'robot'," Clemont irritably retorted, "He's much more than that." He placed a hand on the metallic shoulder of Clembot, giving him a reassuring smile. The artificial human mimicked its creator's action, smiling in return. They looked into each other's eyes with determination, then snapped their heads towards the Team Flare members. Xerosic merely looked amused.
"What a joke," he mumbled, before reaching inside the pocket his flame-orange jacket and took out a PokeBall, while Trish's Pyroar took its place, in front of its own trainer. The Royal Pokemon growled with its teeth showing.
"This is so bothersome," Xerosic sighed, lazily throwing his PokeBall in the air. The capture device opened and sent out a silhouette of what seemed to be four wings in blinding light. Once the light dispersed, a bat like creature evilly stared at the lemon-haired scientist.
"Crobat!" it cried, spreading its wings apart. There were now two Pokemon opposite of Clemont and Clembot; both exerting menacing presence. Even though Clemont had never did anything big without his glasses, the goggles Xerosic had given him had to do. They weren't on par with his original glasses, but were good enough to wipe the blur from his eyes.
Clembot extended its metal arm and transformed it with several gear shifts, into a singular gun-like barrel. The barrel shot out a two PokeBalls, which opened and revealed two silhouettes, covered in a bluish light. The lights soon disappeared, revealing a lizard-like Pokemon and three magnetic balls joined together with magnets as arms.
"Lisk!" the Generator Pokemon cried.
"Mag. Ne." Magneton's robotic voice echo reverberated off the room's walls.
"Thanks, Clembot. I've been longing to battle with Heliolisk for quite a while," Clemont said as he motioned to fix his glasses from muscle memory, but the glasses weren't there, only the goggles.
"Oh. Whoops."
"Are you sure you want to battle us, right now? In the same room where the electricity generator is? Is this a wise decision?" Xerosic repeatedly threw questions at Lumiose's gym leader, to which he simply chuckled.
"I've never been more sure in my life. Heliolisk, use Thunderbolt on Crobat!" Clemont commanded.
"Magneton, use Sonic Boom on Pyroar!" Clembot ordered as it flung its robotic arm out.
