Maine was busy talking to Teresa and Chanel when RJ came in and started poking her back. She rolled her eyes and turned around.
"What?" she asked.
"Alam na ni Evan yung tungkol sa atin." he whispered. Maine's heart dropped. She quickly excused herself from her friends and pulled RJ inside one of the rooms so they could talk.
"That's impossible Tisoy." she said.
"Eh sinabi niya eh." he replied, looking helpless.
Maine took a deep breath and grabbed his hand.
"We'll confront him about it okay?" she told RJ and after he nodded, they stepped out to look for Evan. Her heart started pounding hard against her chest. She's confident that Evan still doesn't know about them. However, if he does then it will be a massive problem. After a couple minutes of pushing themselves against the crowd of people, she spotted Evan.
"Hey Maine!" he greeted. Judging by his face, it's clear that he's drunk.
"Evan ..."
"Nagsumbong sa'yo yung boyfriend mo? I get it, you didn't tell me he's so childish." he replied before he and his friends laughed. Maine heard RJ grunt. She held his arm and whispered to calm down.
"You're just drunk Evan, go home." she said.
"Make me." he replied. RJ quickly jumped in between them and they stared at each other eye to eye. Maine quickly felt the tension and so she snatched RJ up and they walked away.
"Not worth it, lasin lang yun." she told him.
"Paano kung hindi?"
"Trust me Tisoy. He's just drunk."

RJ decided to let go of the Evan situation. He and Maine then just partied the night away. They danced, talked to many people, and just tried their best to have a good time. Around midnight, the two left Chanel's party and started to drive their way home. Since Maine is tired, RJ took it upon himself to drive them home. He's going slowly, he's a "Better safe than sorry" kind of guy.
"Nag-enjoy ka ba?' Maine asked.
"Opo naman." he said and smiled at her.
"Good, because I want my loved ones to enjoy life." she said before laughing a bit. RJ gave her a funny look, she's drunk.
"So ... loved one mo ako?" he asked before they took a turn towards the entrance of the subdivision.
"Yes Tisoy. I love you ... you have no idea but I really love you." she replied and the smile on his face faded. He kept his eyes on the road and just focused on getting themselves home. After arriving in their garage, his heartbeat started to race. Maine just admitted her feelings for him. And even though she's clearly drunk, RJ knew that it's what she really feels about. He believes that alcohol can bring out the truth. And it just did.
He helped Maine get out of the car and almost carried her off towards the couch. She threw herself in and kicked her shoes away. And just in an instant, Maine fell asleep. RJ let out a sigh and ran up to her to get a blanket.
After getting one, he went downstairs again and covered her with it. RJ smiled and fixed the throw pillow under her head.
A few minutes later, he walked out and called his friend.
"Pareng Soyti!"
"Gising ka pa?" he asked.
"Birthday nung tito ko eh. Inuman kami brad, tara sama ka."
"Di na, kakainom ko lang din."
"Bakit ka napatawag? Miss mo na ba ako?"
"Ulol."
"Eh bakit nga?"
"Brad ... bakit di pwedeng dalawa ang puso ng tao?"

Maine woke up the next day with a massive hangover. She slowly sat up and felt as though her head is being split into two. Before she could even process where she is, RJ already came in a with a bowl of soup in his hand.
"Good Morning. Pampa-alis hangover." he said.
"Ano yan?" she asked.
"Soup."
"I know ... what kind of soup?"
"Maduming medyas."
"Ew."
"Joke lang. Broth lang ng meat ... tinuro ni Mama kasi nagka-hangover din ako dati. Effective to." he said with a smile on his face. Maine just nodded and took it from him.
"How are you?" she asked.
"Okay naman po. Kayo nalasing kagabi."
"I know, I'm sorry. I got tired from all the things we did. Wala naman akong sinabi na hindi dapat sabihin di ba?" she asked him.
"Actually, meron po." he said and she became nervous right away.
"A .. ano yun?"
"Nag .. I love you po kayo sakin." he said. Feeling overwhelmed, Maine got up and went straight to her room.

"Loko ka talaga." RJ told himself after he returned to the kitchen. Before he walked towards her, the young guy already willed himself to keep the words she told him a secret. But something inside him slipped. The part that actually feels something for Maine.
Suddenly, his phone started ringing, it's Mrs. Mendoza. He took a deep breath and answered her call.
"Good Morning Mamsie!" he greeted.
"Good Morning din Tisoy! Kumusta na kayo jan?"
"Okay lang po."
"Uuwi na pala ako mamayang gabi okay? I-surprise natin si Maine okay?"
"Ah ... paano po?"
"Basta."
"Ah sige po." he said. A few more minutes later, the call ended. He then looked on and saw Maine standing at the bottom of the staircase.
"Totoo ba yun?" she asked.
"Ang alin?"
"Yung nag I love you ako sayo?" she asked and he nodded. Maine then grunted and turned around.
"Ma'am ... ang totoo po niyan ... may gusto din po sana akong sabihin sa inyo."
"Ano yun?"
"May nararamdaman din po kasi ako eh."
"What the ..." she said and so he raised his arm.
"Tumatayo na po yung balahibo ko. Punta muna akong CR." he said and quickly walked away from her.
