"Maine okay ka lang?"
"Yes." She answered and looked away. The young girl then continued pacing back and forth. Thousands of thoughts are going wild in her mind.
You can't be pregnant, you took that pill
A voice inside her head echoed over and over again. Maine can't be mistaken; she bought and took the most recommended morning after pill to avoid getting pregnant. However, something must have happened. It's either the medicine was not effective or that somehow, RJ has extremely strong sperm cells. Either way, Maine is not sure whether she'll see the situation as a good thing or not. She already told him to come over but Maine kept the possible Baby Daddy part hidden.
Ten minutes later, Yaya then returned with RJ right behind her. Maine smiled and quickly walked towards them.
"Yaya, evaporate." She said and so the nosy maid quickly walked away.
"Ano ba yun?" RJ asked her. Maine quickly noticed that he's only wearing a beach shorts and a green sando top. She called him on such a short notice he did not even have the time to change into proper clothes.
Maine opened her mouth, she was about to say it. For a moment she wondered how he will take the news and if it will change everything between them. But before her voice could even pass her lips, they got interrupted.
"Maine, bakit di mo naman sinabi may dala ka palang Mulawin?" Mrs. Mendoza asked and walked towards them.
"Good Morning Po Mamsie!" He greeted her.
"Good Morning, Tisoy."
"Mommy? Bakit Mulawin?" Maine asked.
"Eh ... yung pan de sal kasi eh." She said and chuckled. Maine rolled her eyes and looked away.
"Kayo talaga Mamsie." RJ murmured.
"Mataba na po si Tisoy, wala na yung favorite niyong pan de sal." Maine told her Mom.
"What? I got my body back." he replied and her eyes widened. Not because of his claim but because he answered her in full English.
"Talaga lang ah? Pangatawanan mo yan." She replied and he suddenly raised his shirt. Letting the two ladies see what he's been working on lately.
Maine's eyes widened at the sight of his semi-ripped physique. There are still traces of baby fats but most have turned back to muscles. RJ has regained his mouthwatering abs. And along with its comeback, his sexy V-line showed up again. Maine's knees instantly went weak. She had to look away to break the charm like spell. Richard only raised his shirt for a few seconds before he let the clothing fall down and cover his stomach area again.
"Iwan ko muna kayo jan ah? Kuha lang ako ng Cheese spread." Mrs. Mendoza said.
"Cheese spread?" Maine asked.
"May pan de sal na eh."

After Mrs. Mendoza left them, the sadness came back on Maine's face. RJ frowned and asked her what the problem is. She replied by holding his hand and leading him towards the back of the mansion where no one would be able to hear them.
Maine then sat on a chair and he settled on the opposite one. He held her hands and once again what asked what in the world is going on.
"This morning ... when I woke up ... nagsuka ako." she answered in an almost whispering manner. RJ's heart dropped, he realized right away what that could mean.
"Pero di a, bumili naman tayo ng gamot?" he asked her.
"Paano kung hindi gumana yun?"
RJ's heart broke when he saw tears in her eyes. Without saying a word, he got up and pulled her in for a hug. The young guy then kissed her forehead and whispered to her that everything will be fine.
"What if I am pregnant? Pakakasalan mo ba ako?" she asked.
"Oo naman, kahit ngayon pa nga lang kung gusto mo eh." He answered and saw her smile a bit. Maine then pulled away from him and sat properly.
"Tisoy?"
"What?" he asked, more than eager to help her and their situation.
"Samahan mo ako bukas ah?"
"San naman?"
"Pharmacy Store .... Tapos sa O.B."

Ten minutes after RJ left, Maine took a deep breath and went inside the house. She then approached her Mom and asked if she has time to have a quick talk.
"Sure, anak." Mrs. Mendoza said and placed her laptop on the table. The two then walked outside and settled in the garden. Even though the skies are grey and the cold wind kept on blowing hard, drops of cold sweat still formed at the side of her face. Maine is anxious, she has no idea how she will start the conversation.
"Is this about RJ?" her mother asked.
"Opo ... ay ... slight pero actually, hindi din po."
"Ano ba talaga yung gusto mong sabihin, Maine?"
"Uh ... random lang ... it doesn't mean na it's happening to me. I just want to know, do you want to be a Lola na?"

RJ went home with a weird smile on his face. The possibility of Maine being pregnant could pose serious changes on his already well-planned life. If she is indeed bearing his child, RJ will no longer continue his studies. Instead, he's going to find a stable work for the both of them. He will also start saving money for their marriage.
However, it is still only a hunch. RJ doesn't mind having a baby with Maine. It's just that he would rather have her get pregnant at a much later date in their lives. They're still young, too young to be considered as parents.
"Tisoy? Bakit ganiyan itsura mo?" his Mom asked.
"Ah wala po, nakatapak lang ng kayamanan."
"Sus."
"Nga pala Ma, may tanong ako."
"Ano yun?"
"Handa na po ba kayong maging Lola?"
