RJ went to work the next day feeling a little sadder than his usual. Today would be the first day of him working at the Mendoza Mansion without Nicole around, and he's not certain whether he'll be able to adjust to it quickly or not.
He pushed the doorbell button and Yaya quickly opened the door. She once again hit on him but he did not even acknowledged her presence. Instead, RJ just walked past her and started working.
RJ's on his serious mode now and nothing in this world can pull him out of it. A few moments later, he reached his working station. He changed his clothes and started removing leaves and other stuff right on top of the pool. He couldn't stop thinking about Nicole, he wanted to call her but he realized it might too early for one yet.
"Tisoy?" a familiar voice asked.
RJ turned and saw Maine smiling at her. His heart skipped a couple of beats, he's really surprised to see her.
"Ma'am Maine! Good Morning po! Nakauwi na po pala kayo." he greeted, trying to sound as happy as he could.
"Ay hindi , picture lang 'to. Of course, it just Baguio."
"Eh ano po bang gusto niyo? Kumusta po si Ma'am NikNik? Okay lang po ba siya? Di po ba siya nilalamok dun? maayos po ba yung bahay niya?" he asked.
"Ay isa isa lang pwede? Nicole is fine don't worry. You on the other hand, will be very busy today."
"Busy? Bakit po? May papagawa po ba kayo?" he asked.
"Yep."
"Ano po yun?" RJ asked, now eager to do things and finish his work.
"Be my boyfriend."
"Yun lang po pala eh .... teka ... ano????" he asked in a loud tone. RJ then quickly apologized to Maine and said he will never do it again.
"That's alright ... but I really need you to be my boyfriend for the day."
"Ba ... Bakit po? Ma'am .. bata pa po ako Ma'am wag po." he answered, finally getting his jolly self back.
"What the hell are you talking about? Tisoy ... focus please. Naalala mo pa ba si Evan, yung lalaki nung isang araw?" Maine asked.
"Yung medyo hawig hawig ko pero mas gwapo ako? Opo naman."
"Wow naman sa self confidence. Anyway, do you remember na pinakilala kita na boyfriend ko?"
"Opo." he replied right away. RJ's heart started beating fast, he already has an idea what's going to happen.
"The thing is ... he told someone else about us. And I can't have her or him ... or to be honest anyone else find out that I'm single and miserable. One of my friends is coming over today, and she wants to meet you."
"Ma'am?"
"What?"
"Tagalog naman po."
"Oh my gosh .... Kailangan kita na magpanggap as boyfriend ko. Ngayon araw lang, promise. Babayaran kita."
"Ma'am , di po ako bayarang lalaki." Tisoy said, trying his best not to laugh.
"Tisoy naman ... please? 5,000 pesos ... pwede na siguro yun."
"Alam po ba ni NikNik to?" he asked, wanting to stay as loyal to Maine's sister as possible even though they're not in a relationship.
"Yes. But yung Mama ko hindi pa. Wag na wag mong sasabihin sa kaniya, sikreto lang natin 'to."
