"So Tisoy ... ano nga ba talaga tayo?" she asked him a few minutes after they started walking again. She is already aware that there's something special going on between them; she just wants a confirmation, a word from RJ that will make everything official.
"I don't know ... pero special ka .... hindi naman kita ipaglalaban kung wala akong nararamdaman sa 'yo." he replied. Her heart fluttered because of his statement. But at the same time, the guilt is still there. Maine couldn't help but blame herself for the ongoing rift they have with Nicole. She started everything, her jealousy took over and that resulted to her younger sister's heart being absolutely broken.
"Sa tingin mo magiging okay lang talaga ang lahat?" she asked.
"Siyempre, wala ka bang tiwala sa akin?"
"I do trust you ... it's just that, sobrang gulo na eh. I just want things to be okay again." Maine uttered. Suddenly, RJ held her hand and told her to stop walking.
"Maine, seryoso ako. Kung kailangan kong umalis para lang magka-ayos kayo gagawin ko." he said, causing her knees to go weak instantly. She bit her lower lip and looked up at him. She never saw RJ this serious. He's always been a goofball but something in his voice changed his entire vibe. He became a man right in front of her; he's no longer just Tisoy. He is Richard R. Faulkerson Jr. and he will do his best to make everything right even if it means he has to sacrifice his own happiness.
"Alam mong hindi mo kailangang gawin yun."
"Pero gusto ko ... para sa'yo."
"Cheesy mo."
"May sinabi nga pala nanay mo sakin.
"Ano yun?"
"Kapag nabuntis ka kelangan pakasalan daw kita." he said and her heart jumped.
"Aba dapat lang. Kaso that will never happen, I took morning after pills and I'm determined to keep my legs close for as long as I can." she said. Maine likes him, but she still considers their steamy night as a mistake. Not because she did not enjoy his company but because of the fact that the entire thing was indeed just an accident. She never meant for that to happen and they're both drunk at the moment. It was just sex to her, nothing more than that.
"Edi hindi welcome si TJ?" he asked before pouting his lips.
"Hindi." she said and started walking away.
"Pano nyan? Miss na ni TJ si PP."
"Pinapasabi ni PP ayaw niyang kasama si TJ." Maine said after he caught up with her.
"Sad si TJ."
"Sabihin mo sa kaniya mag sariling sikap muna siya."
"Eh sawa na daw siya eh."
"Ay jusko lord ka Tisoy. Tara na nga, alis na tayo."

"Nicole, kahit di mo sabihin kung anong nararamdaman nakikita ko yun sa mga mata mo. Alam kong masasaktan ka at alam kong pakiramdam mo naloko ka. Niknik, gusto kong malaman mo na valid yang feelings mo. Before you left for Baguio, you and RJ had a evrbal agreement right? May understanding kayo na maghihintay kayo hanggang sa tamang panahon na pwede na maging kayo. Yes, never naging kayo pero hindi ko isusumbat yun sa'yo ... alam mo kung bakit? Kasi puso yung pinairal mo eh. Ang puso, hindi yan nadidiktahan ... hindi yan natuturuan ... kung ano yung nararamdaman niyan, yung ang totoo at valid yun kahit ano pa ang sabihin ng iba. Ang hinihingi ko lang sayo ngayon e bigyan sila ng chance na maayos ang sitwasyon." Mrs. Mendoza told Nicole.
"So ano yun Mommy? ako na nga niloko ako pa maga-adjust?" she asked.
"No, I just want you to let the gates to your heart open para makita mo kung gaano sila ka sorry. Nicole, when you left something obviously changed. Naging close yung dalawa at may nangyari pa nga. Niknik, kahit ako nainis ako sa kanila at hanggang ngayon naga-alangan pa ako na kausapin sila pero bibigyan ko sila ng chance kasi naramdaman kong sincere sila. Ikaw ba Niknik, gusto mo ba ganito nalang kayo?"
"Hindi po. Pero, Mommy ....nasaktan din naman ako eh ... wala ba akong karapatan sa sarili ko?" she asked, already tearing up. The amount of pain Nicole felt over the past few days was already enough to break her heart a couple of times.
"Meron naman. I'm just saying na wag mong isara ang puso mo. Don't let hatred rule you kasi pag nangyari yun, mas lalong masisira ang pamilya natin. Tatlo na nga lang tayo, babawasan mo pa ba?" she asked.
Nicole took a deep breath and closed her eyes. Deep inside, she already wants to settle everything between her and everyone else. But the pain, she just can't ignore the overwhelming pain.
"I'm sorry."

RJ took a deep breath before he entered the Mendoza Mansion. He tried to hold on to Maine's hand but she pulled away.
He quickly saw Nicole seemingly waiting for them. RJ gulped and walked towards her. He kept his hands inside his pockets so she can't see them shaking.
"What are you doing here?"
"Pwede ba tayo mag-usap? Tayo lang dalawa."
"Sige."
RJ and Nicole walked to the back of the house and left Maine behind. He felt extremely uneasy knowing that they are in the same area where she first surprised him. Nicole gave him nothing but love and support and all he was able to give back is some flirting and secrets that eventually caused her pain. Nicole loved him dearly and he repaid that by falling for her sister.
"I'm sorry Nicole." he said right away.
"Para san? Dahil na-in love ka kay Ate?"
"Niknik ... alam mong totoo yung naramdaman ko sa'yo nung una."
"Totoo nga ba? Eh ilang linggo pa lang akong nawala napunta ka na kay Ate. Tisoy, alam kong wala akong karapatan na magalit ng sobra kasi hindi naman tayo pero siguro may karapatan naman akong mainis kasi umasa ako na pag-balik ko, ako pa rin yung nanjan. Pero what happened? Pag-balik ko, may sikreto na kayo ni Ate. At kung di ko pa kayo narinig, di pa kayo aamin."
"Ginawa lang namin yun kasi ayaw ka naman masaktan."
"That's bullshit Tisoy. Wala tayo sa teleserye ... at alam niyong pareho na masasaktan lang din ako kahit tiago niyo man o hindi. Bakit di mo sinabi nung dumating ako? mas maiintindihan ko pa kung naging honest ka at sinabi mong may nagbago na hindi yung pinaasa mo ako."
The words she said caused his heart to ache. RJ gulped and pulled Nicole in for a hug.
"Patawarin mo ako ... patawad kasi hindi ako naging matatag para sa'yo." he whispered and she kept on crying in his arms.

Maine is looking at them though the second story window. her heart is breaking as well and it ached even more after she saw the both of them crying. What they had was real, but the foundation wasn't strong yet and that caused everything to falter.
"I'm sorry Niknik."
