Maine spent the next few days trying to make it up to Nicole. The guilt in her heart is still there but she promised herself that she will no longer dwell on that and instead, use her precious time to make sure things will be okay again between her and her beloved sister. However, her life is still not perfect. Mr. Mendoza showed up again yesterday at the mansion so he could apologize for abruptly disappearing two years ago. Maine already forgave him it's just that the healing process has not started yet and she's not sure when it would happen. The wound he left on her is far too deep than any physical damages she acquired. His absence ripped her heart into two; he made her cynical about love and trust. He ruined her ability to love purely.
"Ate?" She turned and saw Nicole standing by the door. Maine smiled and let her sister in.
The young girl adjusted her position to make way for her. Nicole sat beside her, smelling like Bacon and making it obvious that she just had breakfast. Maine smiled and faced her.
"Sorry, Niknik." She started.
"Hay naku Ate, ayan ka na naman. Be happy, okay na lahat. And besides, aalis na ako mamaya, I wanna leave you guys happy."
"Aalis ka?"' Maine asked.
"I'll go back to Baguio."
"Why? diba sabi mo you'll stay here na lang?" she asked Nicole. Maine held her hand and begged her to stay.
"Please? For your Ate? Stay ka na lang dito." She said. Nicole smiled but slowly pulled away from her. She then got up and started walking towards the nearby chair.
"Ate Maine, I need time and space to heal." Nicole uttered after a short moment of silence. Maine's heart dropped, she totally forgot about the healing part.
"Niknik ..."
"Oh, don't worry. I'm not mad; I just need to be who I was again before he came. Ate, don't get me wrong ... I'm happy for you but I need to be perfectly happy as well."
Maine stood up and Nicole did the same. She took a deep breath and hugged her sister tightly. Maine's heart ached a bit. For a moment, she blamed herself again. But all that disappeared after Nicole hugged her back. They are sisters and they have a bond that will never be fully broken.

RJ was axing some woods when Bogs walked in on him. He quickly placed the chopping tool aside and faced his friend.
"Dude, tara Gym."
"Tapusin ko lang 'to." RJ answered. He then gathered all the chopped woods and carried them towards the back of the house. After settling them down properly, he returned to Bogs.
"Nga pala, balita ko mag-aaral ka na ulit sa susunod na sem?" his friend asked. RJ displayed his sexy half grin and nodded like a little kid.
RJ already thanked Mrs. Mendoza for inspiring him to get his life back in order. The words she said added fuel to his dying fire. Now, he's determined to show everything he got and achieve his dreams; not only for Maine, but also for his family.
"Shit, pare ang taba mo." Bogs said and pointed at his tummy. RJ quickly became conscious and covered his fats.
"Grabe ka, di mo ba alam Dad bod yan? Gustong-gusto ng mga chiks yan, madami silang pinipisil tsaka tumataba yung ano."
"Yung ano?
"Yung pisngi." RJ answered and laughed.
"Gagu, bakit di ka mag-porn star ... yung libog mo sobra." Bogs said, keeping his voice low so RJ's mom won't hear them.
"Ulol, mas grabe ka pa nga. Teka, papa-hatid pala ako mamaya kina Maine ah."
"Uy, yung utang mong 200 ah ... quote ka na Brad. Bayad bayad din pag may time."
"Mamaya na. Teka pare, hintayin mo ako. Papalit lang ako ng damit tapos gym na tayo." He replied and ran inside the house.

"What? I thought okay na kayo?" Teresa asked Maine through the phone. The young girl let out a sigh and closed the door behind her. She took a deep breath and sat on the side of her bed. Their family portrait came right in the center of her view. Maine smiled; she loves her family so much.
"I thought so as well. She said she needs space to think and time to heal."
"Yun naman pala, let her be."
"Ganun na lang? Teresa, she's my sister." Maine answered, feeling a bit offended.
"I know. Pero Maine, you have to remember na she's no longer the Nicole na kelangan mong alalayan lagi. She's 18 years old now, practically a full grown woman. Let her do what she wants para naman malaman niya talaga yung mga bagay na gusto niya. If she needs time and space ibigay mo, hindi dahil gusto mo kung hindi dahil yun ang magpapa-saya sa kaniya. She deserves to search for who she is na walang kasama, she will figure it out. I promise."
"Teresa?" Maine asked.
"Oh?"
"Kelan ka pa naging Guidance Counselor?"
"Bruha ka."
Suddenly, someone started knocking on the door. Maine said goodbye to Teresa and ended the call. She then hastily made her way to open it.
"Ma'am, may bisita po kayo." Yaya said.
"Sino?" she asked.
"Daddy niyo po."

"Dito na lang pare, salamat." RJ told Bogs after they reached the Mendoza's mansion. Two minutes later, his friend left. The young guy turned around only to see a glimpse of Nicole carrying her suitcase. He went inside the residence through the open garage gate.
"Aalis ka?" he asked.
"Yup, I'm going back to Baguio." She said. Nicole then asked the maid to carry the rest of her stuff so she and RJ could talk.
"Teka, akala ko dito ka na lang?"
"I want to stay pero I need this. Tisoy, when you came may nawala sa akin. And I need to get that back, whatever that may be." She answered. RJ felt a built guilty once again but that dreadful feeling was washed away by her sincere and radiant smile.
"I'm sorry, Niknik."
"Okay na yun, ikaw naman." She replied.
Suddenly, his phone started ringing. RJ excused himself for a moment and walked away. The young guy then took a deep breath and answered the call that came from his Mom.
"Hello Ma?"
"RJ, asan ka?"
"Nandito po kina Maine." He answered.
"Uwi ka muna dito please? nandito Tatay mo."
"Ano?"
