"Mamsie, kakaalis lang po ni Ma'am Maine. Asan na po kayo?" RJ asked Mrs. Mendoza a couple of minutes after Maine left the mansion.
"Sa puso mo." Maine's mom replied, causing RJ's mouth to fall open.
"Ma'am."
"Tisoy , joke lang yun. Di ba yun yung uso sa mga bagets ngayon?" she asked.
"Sa mga Jejemon po." RJ replied, blushing a bit. He wanted to laugh but he's afraid that it will come out as disrespectful.
"Ah ganun ba? Oh sige never mind, malapit na ako jan. As in ... 3...2...1..." he heard her say and the call suddenly ended. RJ looked on and saw a taxi pull up in front of the mansion. He quickly put a shirt on and waited for his boss to come in.
"Good Morning Mamsie! Welcome home!" he greeted in a very enthusiastic tone.
"Hello Tisoy .. uy! Nagmumura ang mga pan de sal, bagsak presyo ang flour." she said. RJ looked down and realized he's wearing a muscle shirt that's why she can see the outline of his abs. RJ blushed and quickly pulled his shirt as far down as possible.
"Are you ready for the surprise?" Mrs. Mendoza asked.
"Oo naman po." he replied.

"I ... I really thought sasabihin niyang he likes me too." Maine told Teresa while they're having coffee inside a shop.
"What did he do instead?"
"Nag CR ... my gosh ... kung hindi lang talaga siya cute , I swear." Maine uttered before letting out a sigh. There's no point in denying it anymore. She already fell for him. Slowly and then all at once.
"Oh my Gosh, you do like him." Teresa said.
"I do and it sucks." she said. Maine is feeling guilty once again. She already told she loves him, there's no coming back from that.
"Wait, are you two still okay?" Teresa asked.
"Yeah, why?"
"That must mean he likes you too."
"I'm not counting on it, Teresa."
"Why?"
"Because I'm pretty sure when the time comes he's still going to choose Nicole." Maine said. She then let out a frustrated sigh, she's tired of being the second choice.
"Why would she even choose Nicole? You already slept with him remember? Yeah I get it, he looks a bit innocent sometimes but you said it yourself ... give him some alcohol and he turns into a wild beast."
"That's not what I meant, Teresa. Nicole is everything that I'm not. She's pretty, prim, smart, charismatic , her life is easy ... mine's not." she replied before frowning.
"Oh sweetie ... that's not true. You're like smoking hot."
"Teresa ... I need you to be honest with me okay?"
"Okay?"
"Am I a bad person for falling for him?"
"What? Hell no! Why would you even think that?"
"I don't know."

RJ and Mrs. Mendoza then started working on the surprise. First, they built their base in the kitchen. She's going to cook them a dinner feast and he will help her do that.
"Tisoy?"
"Po?"
"Kumusta Party kagabi?" she asked, causing to get nervous instantly.
"Po?" he asked again with his now shaking voice.
"Tisoy it's okay. I know na you and Maine partied last night. Nakita ko sa FB yung pics niyo. I'm not mad, madalang ko lang siya makitang masaya and I'm glad na isa ka dun sa mga taong nagdulot nun." she said.
RJ is still smiling nervously. But after a few moments, he was able to nod and thanked her.
"However, may iba akong gustong pag-usapan. I ... I know na madalas kayong magkasama ni Maine ngayon .. di naman sa nakikisingit ako kung ano man yung nangyayari sa inyo pero alam ko na gusto ka ni Maine at ni Nicole." she said. The smile on his face faded. He just got slapped with the truth.
"Tisoy, di ako galit. Ang sakin lang eh sana pag yung oras na dapat pumili ka sa kanilang dalawa eh sana sundin mo yung puso mo. Kasi yan yung nagsasabi ng totoo. Alam mo , naisip ko nga na alisin ka na lang eh para matigil na yung dalawa. Pero di ko rin naman kasi madidiktahan yung gusto ng dalawa kong anak eh. Ang pakiusap ko na lang sayo ... wag mo silang pagsabayin ... wag mo silang paiyakin ... at please ... alagaan mo kung sino man ang mamahalin mo. And don't forget yung pinag-usapan natin dati ah? Kailangan makabalik ka muna sa eskwela."
RJ is at lost for words. He is once again stunned by her grace.
"O ... Opo naman."
"Great, thank you."
RJ shifted his eyes back to the vegetables he's cutting. His heart stopped beating fast now, he's finally calm.

Maine went home later that day feeling a bit weird. She tiptoed her way towards the front door, only to see her Mom and RJ standing in the living room. Her mouth fell open and they both yelled surprise.
The young girl ran and gave her Mom a tight hug.
"I missed you." she said and then went on to hug RJ. Her eyes then shot wide open after she realized her action. She quickly pushed RJ and turned to her Mom.
"I cooked dinner." she said.
"Great." Maine replied, blushing. After her Mom left , Maine and RJ stood there in awkward silence.
"So ... sorry." she finally said.
"Okay lang."
"Ah, RJ?"
"Ano po?"
"Pwede bang kalimutan mo na lang yung sinabi ko sa'yo kagabi?"
"Ayoko."
"Okay ... wait what?"
"Kakalimutan ko lang po yun pag hinalikan niyo ako sa lips." he said with a proud grin on his face. Maine blushed even more, she rolled her eyes and walked away from him.
