Maya's POV
After knocking on the door, it opens. "Hey Maya, what are you doing here?" Josh says. I ask, "Hi. Can we talk?" Josh looks at me a little concerned but he says, "Sure, come in." He lets me inside his apartment and asks me if I want anything to drink but I say no. He sits down next to me as I say, "I have something I need to tell you."
Josh then smiles and says, "Good. I need to talk to you too. But you first." I let out a heavy breath as I say, "What I'm about to tell you, is confidential, and you have to promise not to tell anyone." I start to get shaky and tear up as Josh gentle grabs my hand and says, "Maya of course. You can trust me."
All of a sudden I feel tears streaming down my face as I say, "I am so sorry Josh." His eyebrows show concern as he says, "Maya, you're scaring me." I finally blurt out, "Josh I'm--I'm pregnant." He stops for a second and doesn't say anything until, "You're what?! No this has to be a joke." I keep my head down as he says, "How did this happen? When? With who?!"
I blow out some air knowing that it's hard to say so I say, "I can't say."
Josh: Well you know who it is and everyone is going to find out soon enough!!!
Maya: If I tell you, you can't tell Riley.
Josh: I wasn't going to tell her at all... Unless this deals with her? Does it? Wait a minute... Don't tell me it's him.
Maya: Josh-
Josh: Maya yes or no is it Lucas?
Maya: Josh...
Josh: Answer the question yes or no?
(I start crying more than before. He knows by now that it is him but I say)
Maya: Yes. Ok it is him. I'm so stupid.
(Josh pulls me into a hug. I cry and he just holds me. After a few minutes he says)
Josh: Maya when did you find out.
Maya: Just last night. I didn't know who to tell.
Josh: It's ok.
Maya: Josh?
Josh: Yeah?
Maya: What am I going to do?
Josh: I don't know.
Maya: Josh?
Josh: Yeah?
Maya: Can I stay for the night?
Josh: Of course.
