Chapter 17: Going Home/Baby Names!

Maya's POV

After the whole commotion in the hospital I was really glad to see Paige (Lucas's mom) and Topanga.  It was hard for me to explain to Paige what happened with Lucas but she knows he was gone for 2 months and it was hard on me.  Topanga however is the most sweetest and loving person I know.  My mom told Topanga that she and Shawn both had jobs here so if anything happens to me it would be hard for both of them to come.  So Topanga said I could stay with them for a while but Paige insisted I come home with her.  I didn't want to but I knew that she had the space.  So, I agreed.  I stayed in the hospital for a few more nights.  On February 10 I got out of the hospital and My mom and Shawn drove me back to New York.  They spent that whole day with me but then left.  I saw Shawn pull Josh off on the side to talk to him so I got a little worried.

Josh's POV

After we got to the Friar's home Shawn and Katy spent the whole day with Maya.  When they were saying goodbye Shawn pulled me on the side to talk to me.

Shawn: Can we talk?

Josh: Yeah.

Shawn: Listen I don't trust Lucas, with Maya.

Josh: Ok.

Shawn: And I don't want her to be alone with him.

Josh: So...

Shawn: I wanted you to stay with Maya when you can.

Josh: Shawn I--

Shawn:--I know.  But she trusts you and she doesn't trust him.

Josh: Do you trust him?

Shawn: Not really.

Josh: Ok then I'll watch her.

Shawn: Thanks that means a lot.

Josh: No problem.

After that I stayed with Maya day and night.  Maya was told to be on bed rest so that means she shouldn't leave her bed, doctors orders.  I took off school some days just to make sure she was ok.  I could tell Paige was upset but staying in the room with Maya without seeing Lucas or his mom was a good thing.  Lucas would come and say good night to Maya every night, but I knew he was upset that some nights I would stay with her.  I practically lived there.

Maya's POV

It's finally March and Josh has been by my side from the moment I came home.  I have about a month until I give birth so I called Lucas in to talk about baby names.  I told Josh to leave the room because Lucas and I haven't been alone for a long time.

Maya: Lucas.

Lucas: Maya!

(He comes and gives me a hug.)

Lucas: So what did you want to talk about?

Maya: The babies.

Lucas: What happened?  Is something wrong?

Maya: No.  Nothing's wrong I just wanted to talk to you about the names.

Lucas: Oh ok.  So what were you thinking?

Maya: Well I don't have any boy first names.

Lucas: Well my grandfather's name is Tyler and I always liked that name.

Maya: I love that name!--Wait but isn't your grandfathers name pappy Joe?

Lucas: My other grandpa.

Maya: Oh that makes more sense!--What about a girl's name?

Lucas: I always liked the name Chloe.
