Maya's POV
Today is the day! It's the day of Tyler and Chloe's birthday! Honestly this past year has been the hardest year of my life and the best year of my life.
This child, this life I created. I can't believe it's been 1 year since my baby was born... (Remember from chapter 1?)
I look at Tyler who is lying next to me on my bed. I hear my bedroom door open and Lucas comes in holding Chloe who is wide awake.
Lucas: Look who woke up.
Maya: Hi Chloe.
(Lucas hands me Chloe and I hold both my babies in my arms.)
Lucas: Look at you.
Maya: Yeah I can't believe it's been a year.
Lucas: Me too.
(There's a knock at the door.)
Lia: Hi
Maya: Hey
Lucy: We are here to take the babies so you guys can go to the park to set up.
Maya: Oh, ok.
I hand them each a baby and Lucas and I head to the park. We set up the party with Lucas's mom and dad and my mom and dad. Lucy and Lia were going to get Tyler and Chloe ready and bring them a little before the party started.

Right now it's around 11:00-ish and the party starts at 11:30. My mom comes up to Lucas and me and gives us this.

We put it on but I wasn't too excited about wearing it. I mean we are teen parents and I already had my outfit on. But I put it on and tell my mom thank you. I know she didn't mean for anything but I just fell weird wearing it. Anyways it's 11:25 and people start showing up. Riley and her family comes with Ava, of course! Josh comes. The rest of the Matthews family comes like Eric, Morgan, and their parents. Farkle, Smackle, and Zay come. More friends and family come. Oh and Kermit and his family comes. My mom said hi but sat way on the other side. Oh and did I mention my mom and dad are getting married on June 3!
The party was great! We ate lunch and played a few games and then we sang happy birthday. It was around 2 o'clock when people started leaving. Lucy said that they would watch the babies and clean up and for Lucas and me to go home with the presents. So Lucas and I left the party and went home. Lucas talked to me about spring break and if we wanted to go to Texas then. I told him that I wanted to go to Philly to see my parents. I told him that since he has never been there it would be nice and also I have to help my mom get ready for her wedding.
So we are going to Philly, as a family. But before we can think about that, prom is next week!
