Chapter 35: Wedding Part 1

Maya's POV

It is May 20, and Lucas and I are headed out to Philly to plan for my mom and dad's wedding! Cory, Topanga, Riley, and Auggie are going to meet us in Philly in a few days but Lucas and I thought it would be nice to go with Tyler and Chloe to have some family time. Anyways we are leaving in about two hours but right now we are packing our bags.

Maya: What are you packing?

Lucas: My clothes.

Maya: Ok. Do you think you can hurry along a little bit.

Lucas: Why? You aren't done.

Maya: With the babies clothes. Huckleberry I finished packing my clothes like an hour ago.

Lucas: Well I'm sorry but you look gorgeous in anything. Me, I need to plan.

Maya: Oh my gosh and I thought I was the girl of the family.

Lucas: Shut up. Where's my suit?

Maya: It's outside on the couch.

Lucas: Thanks.

Maya: Is this enough diapers?

(I show him holding it up.)

Lucas: Maybe for like two days. Anyways we can buy more over in Philly.

Maya: I know but my mom needs me.

Lucas: I think she will let you go to get diapers.

Lucas and I have a suitcase each and the babies have a suitcase to share. We pack the stroller and all the babies things. I put the decorations inside the trunk and there is no more room for anything else. We get in the car and drive to Philly! On the way there we play music and sing to songs. The babies always seem to fall asleep on the ride there but surprisingly they stayed awake for the whole car ride.

We got to the house and my mom and dad were sitting at the door waiting for them. Lucas and I got the babies out and they ran straight to my mom and dad. It's so interesting to see them walking and running around. It felt like yesterday when they were so tiny and you had to hold them. Now I can't keep up with them! Anyways we go inside and get settled into our room. This was the first time that Lucas and I are actually sharing a room. The babies have their room with their cribs. The one of the other rooms are going to be for Cory, Topanga, Riley, and Auggie. And the last room is going to my mom's sister(Jenny) and mom(Karina).

Anyways my mom, dad, and I sat down and started planning the wedding. The babies were napping so we decided to get things organized. Lucas was watching baseball or something and my dad was watching it with him but then during commercials came back. SO pretty munch he didn't hear a word my mom and I were saying.

Maya: What color tablecloths?

Katy: White. What do you think Shawn?

Shawn: Yeah, blue's good. (He yells from the living room.)

(My mom looks at me and rolls her eyes.

Maya: Okay. How many people are you expecting?

Katy: Maybe around 70 or 60. By tonight we'll know because it's the last day to RSVP.

Maya: Ok. And last question who are the bridesmaids and groomsmen?

Katy: Well Cory is Shawn's best man. The other groomsmen are Eric, Jack, and Josh. My maid of honor is Topanga. And my beautiful bridesmaids are Jenny(my mom's sister), Morgan, and you.

Maya: Me?

Katy: Yeah, you know you've been by my side since you were born.

Maya: Wow. Thanks mom.
