I go and put on my clothes from yesterday. I pull up Lucas's address and Josh gives me a ride to his house. When we pull up to the front all I do is look up. I have never been to Lucas's apartment but dang this isn't an a apartment building this is a penthouse building complex. I walk out of the car and walk inside the lobby. I press the 25th floor. I walk down to 2507 and stare at the door for about 10 minutes. Finally I knock.
Lucas: Hey, Maya?
Maya: Hi.---Can I come in?
Lucas: Yeah, yeah of course.
(I walk in and I feel butterflies in my stomach. We walk past the foyer and I look out the big windows.)
Maya: I never knew there could be something so big and--
Lucas:--Beautiful?
Maya: Yeah.
(We sit down on the couch)
Maya: Are your parents home?
Lucas: No my mom is visiting my dad and siblings in Texas.
Maya: Good.
Lucas: So why are you here?
Maya: Umm...
Lucas: Hey you can talk to me.
Maya: I can't say it though.
Lucas: Just imagine you are alone.
Maya: I'm so sorry.
(I start crying and Lucas looks so worried.)
Lucas: Hey Maya talk to me.
Maya: I'm--I can't
Lucas: Maya tell me it's okay.
Maya: I'm pregnant.
Lucas: You're what?
Maya: I'm pregnant.
Lucas: Maya you can't be.
Maya: I took 2 tests and it said positive, both of them.
Lucas: Are you sure?
Maya: Pretty sure.
Lucas: And it's my baby?
Maya: Of course, who else?!!
Lucas: I'm sorry I--I'm just trying to get this all straight, I'm sorry okay...
Maya: Lucas, talk to me.
Lucas: Maya I don't know what we are going to do.
Maya: We?
Lucas: Yeah we. What you thought I was going to leave you?
Maya: Kind of.
Lucas: This is my child, our child. I won't leave you, ever.
Maya: What about Riley?
Lucas: I don't know. But right now you are more important and our child.
Maya: Lucas how am I going to tell her?
Lucas: You'll have me.
Maya: No! I need to do it alone.
Lucas: Maya no!
Maya: Lucas it's not your choice!
(I say as I start to cry.)
Lucas: I'm sorry.
Maya: I gotta go.
Lucas: Maya?
Maya: What?
Lucas: I'm here for you. And if you need anything.---
Maya: ---I know. I'll see you.
