Maya's POV
After I was done writing up my letter I went downstairs and put all of the letters in the mail. I didn't want to tell Lucas I tried out for University of Texas because if I got in I wanted it to be a surprise. The next day Lucas and I met up with Riley, Farkle, Smackle, and Zay. We talked about which colleges we applied to and these are the school we tried out to.
Lucas-University of New York, University of Pennsylvania, and University of Texas. Lucas has his heart set on Texas.
Me-University of New York, University of Pennsylvania, and University of Texas. I have my heart set on New York.
Riley-University of New York and University of Pennsylvania. Riley has her heart set on New York.
Farkle-Princeton, Yale, and University of New York. Farkle has his heart set on Princeton.
Smackle-Princeton Yale, and University of New York. Smackle has her heart set on Princeton.
Zay-University of Texas and University of New York. Zay has his heart set on Texas.
Obviously we all are going our own ways, which is scary. Riley thinks we aren't going to be best friends anymore if we go to different schools. And honestly I'm thinking the same thing. Of course we all applied to the University of New York but if we get into other schools we are leaving. I talk to Lucas telling him I'm scared. He says fate will lead us together or apart...
February 12...
It's been a few months and by now everyone got their letters back. I've been busy with school and the babies that I kind of forgot about college. Oh! And the babies turn one in less than a month! I can't wait! Tyler is the pro walker now and Chloe is trying but keeps falling down. Anyways we all go over to Riley's house to open our letters together. Once we get over there I bring out Lucas and my letters and Lucas picks up my letter...
Lucas: Wait? Why is there a letter here for you Maya?
Maya: Because maybe I tried out to go to Texas...
Lucas: Really?!!
Maya: Yeah, I wanted to surprise you!
Lucas: Wow! I can'-t-t believe it!
Riley: Yeah well I can't believe Zay is late! This is one of the most important days of our lives and he can't even show up on time!
(Say then opens the front door and walks in)
Zay: Hey!
Riley: Hey?!! You say hey?!! You are 20 minutes late!!!
Zay: Sorry...
Farkle: Come on let's just sit down and open them together.
(We all sit down. I sit next to Riley on the bench. Lucas sits next to me on the chair. Across from me is Zay then Farkle and sitting next to Riley is Smackle. We all hold our letter in our hands and Riley goes first.)
Riley: Dear Ms. Matthews, we would like to inform you that you got into the University of New York!
Riley also got into the University of Texas and Pennsylvania.

Smackle: Dear Ms Smackle, we would like to inform you that you got into the University of Princeton!
Smakle also got into the University of New York.

Farkle: Dear Mr. Minkus, we would like to inform you that you got into the University of Princeton!
Farkle also got into the University of New York.

Zay: Dear Mr. Babineaux, we would like to inform you that you got into the University of New York!
Zay is on the waiting list for the University of Texas.

Lucas: Dear Mr. Friar, we would like to inform you that you got into the University of Texas!
Lucas got into the University of New York and is on the waiting list for Pennsylvania.

Maya: Dear Ms. Hunter, we would like to inform you that you got into the University of New York!
I also got into the University of Texas and I am on the waiting list for Pennsylvania.

We all congratulate each other and hug each other. Smackle has made it very clear that Farkle and her will be going to Princeton. Riley said she wants to go to NYU. Zay said that Vanessa got into NYU and he got accepted into that school so he says he is going to NYU. I look at Texas and New York. I know Lucas wants to go to the University of Texas. There is a good art program over there and Lucas did make it known that where I go he goes. I know Riley is going to NYU so this is the hardest decision to make. New York is close to Pennsylvania but Texas is Lucas's home. I then take a deep breath and say..."I'm going to..."
