Well today is a busy day! Lucas, me, Tyler, and Chloe are going to Texas! When the babies were well, babies it was much easier! Now the twins are 3 and 1/2. It's difficult now because they can talk and walk and run! But it's so much fun to keep up with them. Lucas says that this trip to Texas will be the most memorable yet! I don't exactly know what that means but I am excited for it! Anyways I pack up our bag and we head to the airport.
Tyler and Chloe have been talking about seeing Aunty Lucy and Aunty Lia and Uncle Josh! Oh yeah did I tell you. Lucy and Josh got married last year. It was a really interesting wedding because now the Matthews and Friars are related, just not the way we thought they would be related.
Going to Texas is a nice break for Lucas and I and our family. College is really hard! In the words of Josh, "You think you're ready. I wasn't ready!" Anyways Lucas is doing very well in school. He is exceeding in mostly every subject and well he might become a Veterinarian so he might stay in school a couple more years. He is also playing baseball for NYU. He is training because in March there is going to be a scout from the MBL (Major League Baseball) to look for players.
Lucas wants to get on an MLB team but he knows if he does, things will change. I kind of don't want him to get on a team just because I don't want to leave New York. I also don't want Lucas to leave the babies and I to travel back and forth. I know I might sound selfish but I want my babies to always have their father there for them. Especially since the babies are only getting older.
Every time I look at the twins they are remind me of Lucas and I in our own ways. Chloe is just like Lucas in so many ways. First of all she is a splitting image of him! She loves anything Texas and anything that involves horses. She however is very independent just like me! Tyler is totally my son. He loves drawing and he loves protecting his little sister. He is however very sweet and kind to everyone, just like Huckleberry over here.
We got to Texas and Aunty Lucy came to pick us up. We got in and went to the house. Once we got there Uncle Josh and Aunty Lia were sitting on the porch. Tyler and Chloe got out of the car and ran to them. We all went inside and then we saw Paige and Nathan. Lucas wants to take me out to dinner tonight so Grandma and Grandpa are going to watch Tyler and Chloe.
I go to Lucas and my room and start getting ready for tonight. I don't know what to wear but since we are in Texas I'm wearing boots! I know it's so typical to wear boots but, whatever!

I put this on and do my hair and makeup. I finally kiss goodbye Tyler and Chloe and Josh tells me he is driving me to where Lucas is taking me. I get in and we drive to this small barn. I get out and walk inside.

Once I get inside I see this. Lucas is standing there at the bottom of the stairs. He is holding a bouquet of red roses. He hands them to me and we walk up the stairs to a small table at the top of the stairs. There is nice soothing music being played and everything! It was candlelight dinner. We get served dinner and we just talk.
After we finished eating we walked downstairs and Lucas asked me to dance. We danced for a little while just holding each other. Finally Lucas told me he wanted to take me one more place tonight. So we got back in the car and started driving. We drove to Pappy Joe's house!
We got out of the car and instead of going inside his house we went to the back. I saw a campfire in the pit and we sat down on the logs. Lucas then went on and said, "Maya, this is the first place I knew I loved you. This is also the very place where I told you I loved you. This is the place where I can feel every emotion I have. This is the place where I knew I was going to do this. (He gets down on one knee, grabs my hand, and pulls out a ring.) Maya Penelope Hunter, will you marry me?"
"Yes, yes! A hundred times yes!" He slips the ring on my finger and picks me up spinning me while we are kissing. I look at the ring on my finger and it is absolutely gorgeous! On the way home we held hands the entire time. I got out and we went inside where everyone was and I simply put up my left hand to show them and they all screamed!
They all hugged us and congratulated us! I hugged Tyler and Chloe and told them that we were getting married. They both were super happy and hugged and kissed us. After that I called my mom and dad and Riley and her family! I'm sure the news will get around to everyone but right now I just want to worry about my family. My babies and my fiancé! That's so weird to say, fiancé . It has a nice ring to it!
My fiancé, I mean Lucas wants to plan the wedding pronto but I just want to take a minute to breath. I want to maybe graduate before getting married. I also want Tyler and Chloe to be a little older so that they can participate in the wedding. But anyways I;m excited for the future and everything there is in store for us. I'm still scared of what life will do to me but I'm excited to see where it takes me!
