I wake up and I see Riley and Morgan still sleeping so I walk to the living room and see all the presents under the tree. I see Mrs. Matthews and my mom making breakfast while Shawn, Cory, Topanga, and Eric look through old year books. I sit by the bay window and just stare outside. I see light white snow falling on the ground. I look up because I see my mom standing next to me.
Katy: Hey baby.
Maya: Hi.
(My mom sits next to me.)
Katy: I haven't seen you in a while. How are you?
Maya: Good. Really good.
Katy: How's Lucas?
Maya: Good. He works a lot but his mom is home all the time so when I'm not on the phone with you, I'm talking to her.
Katy: Well that's good. I wish I could be here with you all the time.
Maya: It's ok. I want to visit soon and see this gorgeous house you and Shawn live in.
Katy: Yeah! You can come over whenever!
Maya: Thanks.--I saw dad yesterday.
Katy: Dad? As in Kermit?
Maya: Yeah.
Katy: Oh.
Maya: He wants me to be in his life.
Katy: Oh... What do you want?
Maya: I don't know. He left you and me...
Katy: I know.
Maya: He got married. Has three kids, 2 twin boys and a girl.
Katy: Really?
Maya: Yeah and the boys are 12.
Katy: 12?
Maya: Yeah.
(My mom starts tearing up and I just look out the window.)
Katy: Well. What are you going to do about this?
Maya: I don't know. He gave me his number and he said he's coming back to New York in two weeks so we can talk then.
Katy: Ok. Is that's what you want, to talk to him?
Maya: I think so.
My mom doesn't say anything. I stand up and walk back to Riley's room. When I get to the door I see her and Morgan walking out. We all open presents and just take awhile to eat breakfast. After that it was just... boring. We didn't do much. We sang christmas songs for about an hour, but that was really it.
Later that day my mom and Shawn drove back to Philly. I wanted the Matthew family to just have family time so I told them I was gonna head out to the Friars place. Josh offered to drive me since he knew it was late and already dark. So I told him sure. He drives me to my place and he walks me up and we go inside.
Josh: So this is where you live?
Maya: Yeah.
Josh: Nice view.
Maya: Yeah I love looking out the big windows and just thinking.
Josh: So... Where's your room?
Maya: Over here.

Josh: Wow!
Maya: Yeah. It's kind of much.
Josh: Yeah. It's bigger than my whole apartment!
Maya: Yeah.
Josh: So when does Lucas come back?
Maya: Tomorrow night.
Josh: Ok. So you like it here?
Maya: Yeah Mrs. Friar is super nice. We talk a lot about everything.
Josh: What about Lucas?
Maya: He works a lot. He's trying to save money for me and the kids so that one day we can move out of here and have our own place.
Josh: Our?
Maya: Yeah, Lucas and I.
Josh: So when you have the kids you're going to move out with Lucas.
Maya: Yeah, that's our plan. But I think we're going to stay her just for a little bit so that his mom can help me.
Josh: That's good.
Maya: Yeah.
(We talk a little longer about things then Josh leaves and goes home.)
