Chapter 21: Hopeless Romance

Maya's POV

Once we got inside Topanga takes Chloe and Riley helps put Tyler on Auggie's lap. I sat down by the bay window in the living room and just looked out. It was raining and for some reason I love it when it rains.  I sat there for a few minutes alone and that's when Topanga gives Chloe to Riley and sits next to me.  I tell her what happen and I can tell she is upset.  I sit there not showing any expression on my face.  She tells me whatever I need she will help me with.

Maya: Topanga?

Topanga: Yes Maya.

Maya: Can you watch the babies?

Topanga: Of course for how long?

Maya: I don't know just-I'll let you know.

Riley: Peaches where are you going?

Maya: I have to talk to someone.

Topanga: Might this person be Cory's... brother.

Maya: Maybe...

Riley: Do you want me to come?

Maya: No I'm ok.

Topanga: You sure?

Maya: Yeah, I'll see you in a little bit.

Topanga: Ok.

I say by to the babies and walk outside and walk to Josh's apartment. Once I get there I knock on the door and he opens the door. I come in and we sit down.

Josh: So where are the little munchkins?

Maya: At your brother's house.

Josh: Oh! So what brings you here?

Maya: Lucas.

Josh: Ok, what happened?

Maya: He had sex with Missy...

Josh: Are you serious?!!

Maya: Why would I lie?...

(I say as I start crying.)

Josh: That son of a bitch!

Maya: I want to leave here and I don't want to see him...

Josh: What are you thinking?

Maya: Maybe spend a few days at my mom and dad's place.

Josh: Over the 4 day weekend?

Maya: Yeah, that might be nice. They haven't see the babies since last month so I figured that might be nice. 

Josh: Yeah...If you want I can come and drive you to Philly?

Maya: Really?

Josh: Yeah. I don't have anything planned that weekend and it's better than you catching the train. If that's ok with you.

Maya: Yes absolutely! Thank you.

Josh: No problem and besides I love seeing Shawn... and your mom.

Maya: Yeah, me too.

Josh and me drive over to Cory and Topanga's house. We eat dinner with them and just have a fun time. The babies love seeing Mr. Matthews and Topanga and of course Riley and Auggie, and I can tell they love seeing the babies too. For a moment I actually forgot about Lucas but, then I had to go home. I didn't want to go home but I knew I had to pack up for tomorrow so Josh said that he could help me pack tonight and then we could stay at his place for the night and leave first thing tomorrow morning. So we get home and we walk inside.
