Josh's POV
When we finally got to the hospital Maya was rushed off and I was left in the waiting room, alone. About 10 minutes of waiting Shawn, Katy, and Lucy walk in. Shawn and Katy are calling Topanga and Cory, while Lucy is calling her mom. In the mean time I am sitting there in a chair waiting for someone to come out and say everything is okay. Lucy tells us that her mom is catching a train out tonight with Topanga. She said that her mom also talked to Lucas.
Josh: Your mom talked to Lucas?
Lucy: Yes.
Josh: Ok and what did he say?
Lucy: He said that he will get the first flight out.
Josh: He better.
Lucy: What is that supposed to mean?
Josh: He should've been there when this happened. He should've known about her condition.
Lucy: Wait what condition?--Josh what condition?!!
Shawn: Hey what's going on here?...
Katy: Josh?
Josh: Maya has a condition.
Katy: What type of condition?
Josh: It's called Placenta Previa.
Lucy: Ok what does that mean?
Josh: It means that she and the babies could get hurt during labor.
Katy: Ok, but she'll be okay, right?
Josh: If everything goes smoothly, then of course.
Lucy: And if everything doesn't go smoothly?
Josh: Then the babies and her can get hurt...
Katy: Oh my God! And you knew?
Josh: Yeah... I knew.
Shawn: Why didn't Maya tell us?
Josh: She didn't want everyone to worry about her.
Lucy: Does Lucas know?
Josh: I don't know.
(After that we sit down and just wait. Lucy and Katy fall asleep and Shawn went to go get coffee for us. And that's when a nurse comes out.)
Nurse: Josh Matthews.
(I get up and say,)
Josh: That's me.
Nurse: Can I talk to you in private?
Josh: Yeah of course.
(We walk into an empty hallway.)
Nurse: So I got Maya's results back and she got a little worse.
Josh: Ok what do you mean?
Nurse: Her chances of making it are higher.
Josh: So that's a good thing though, right?
Nurse: Yes, for her. But the babies...
Josh: What about them?
Nurse: They could die at anytime of her pregnancy and even worse if she gives birth.
Josh: If?
Nurse: Well she could always choose not to have the babies, if that's what needs to be done.
Josh: I can't make her do something that she doesn't want to do.
Nurse: I know but the chances, are low.
